Deliciously Delightful

One More Round is a delightful small-town romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. The story revolves around a grumpy-sunshine couple, two divorced parents, and their adorable kids. Among the characters, Olivia and Duke stood out as my favorites.

Duke is an incredible man. The way he cares for his daughter, nurturing her growth into a woman, is truly remarkable. And let’s not forget how he shows up for Olivia during her difficult times! This man has a way of making me melt! His comforting presence, protective nature, patience, and unwavering support are truly admirable. This is what girls and women aspire to in a partner!

I was thoroughly impressed by Olivia’s resilience throughout her journey. As a single mother juggling work and the demands of raising her daughter, she demonstrated remarkable strength and determination. Her unwavering commitment to ensuring her daughter’s well-being and providing a stable environment for her was truly commendable.

Of course, we experience the tension, banter, and an underlying chemistry that’s ready to pop. They had been in each other’s lives for so long. With the help of their two little girls, we witness them gradually lowering their defenses, forming a friendship, and then this slow-burning romance transforms into a raging fire. We see the declarations of “you’re mine,” “my girl,” and the body shots at the bar (which were exceptionally well-written).

Sexy and Emotional

I adored Duke and Liv! This one was way more emotional than I expected, and it gave me all the feels. I love how she brought him back and showed him, his life wasn’t over. And how he showed her, she could choose what made her happy. Their story had heat, grief, emotion, chemistry and a lot of character growth and amazing family dynamics. I adored them so much! I can’t wait for book two!

Loved it!

Sean masters and Samantha Brentmore really brought this story to life. Their voices matched the characters perfectly.
This is a small town, single mom and dad, brothers best friend romance. There is t a big “I’m going to kick your a…… for touching my sister in this story. Duke and Olivia will steal your heart as well as the side characters. Definitely worth the credit.

A cozy listen that I couldn't put down!

This was such an easy audiobook to fly through! The story had the perfect mix of small-town charm, second-chance romance, and emotional moments that kept me hitting "play."

The female narrator is already one of my absolute favorites, so I knew I was in good hands. She brought so much warmth and emotion to Olivia's character, making it easy to get completely immersed in the story. Her performance made the listening experience that much better.

My only reason for rounding down to 4.5 stars is that I would've loved more time with Duke and Olivia after she returned home, along with more insight into Olivia's journey away from the record label. I just wasn't ready for their story to end!

If you're looking for a cozy, engaging audiobook that's easy to binge, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a listen.
