Such a sweet story

I really enjoyed this story. It was a story with real life obstacles. Not every relationship is perfect and sometimes you have to go through things to appreciate what you have or had and this story shows that. Also, it shows that while men are messing up another good man is lurking in waiting to scoop up a good woman.

Well written story with great narration. excellent character development. Characters, feel like close friends, sharing an important part of their lives.

Quickie

Let me just say.... If you're looking for a short quick(ie) thrill, this was delightful! Chapter 1 there is mention of a "waxed pussy" and because of my profession (I'm a waxer), I really appreciated the shout-out!!! Thanks Tess Summers you are simply irresistible! Keep writing!

Enjoyable

Enjoyed and liked the storyline. Pulls you in from the start. Very entertaining and steamy.

Three and a half growling meows

If there is one word that I could describe this book, I would choose petty . Because of all the things that I would not forget about this one is that the MCs conflicts were almost childish, even if the heroine is a PhD holder and the hero is a successful lawyer in his 40s. Thus, I only enjoyed the first quarter of the book; the rest were just okay for me. The moment they had their first conflict, I felt the reason was so trivial it made me wonder if they were really in love or just in lust. Despite that, I still decided to finish it because I loved listening to J.F. Harding's narration. As always, he delivered.

I think big fans of NA would enjoy reading this. This is my first book from the author, and all I can say is I have no problems with the way she writes. But because I think this one does not give the goosebumps I am looking for in a good romance novel, I am not sure if I will be reading the next book from the series next. Maybe someday, but definitely not soon.

Unlikable characters

I found both characters to be very unlikable. Ava was very naïve and weak and Travis was just a big bully. The story itself was pretty childish. Just really didn’t like anything about this book

Main characters are jerks

I found the main characters unredeemable. Don’t even bother with it. The narrators are fine, though.

Loved the beginning hated the end

Story started out great but then took a dive. The angst and torment of these two was unbearable to the point I started to fast forward hoping to get to the “happy ending” and still hated it. Male character was lack luster and undeserving of the female character. Idk. Didn’t sit well with me as a female and I wish I stopped listening before it fell apart.
