Asking voices

hearing the characters speak brings a new element to the book that I really enjoyed!

Storyline

I found the storyline to be simple, easy-going with a hint of drama. Overall, I would recommend this book to audible users that are wanting a pretty cut and dry story to listen to.
The one complaint I have is the voice of the main character, Clementine, does not fit the character.

I want more!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. I could NOT stop listening to this book. Very rarely do I come across an author that writes a book so well I can't put it down but this author has me. The characters were written well and the narration was perfect for me.
If you love a small town story with twists and turns and romance this is it. I wish I could listen to the rest but will have to settle for reading them.

I went into this blind. New to me author, new to me narrators, new to me series, and I gotta say that I absolutely loved every minute of this story. To the point where I don't even care that the most the characters did was kiss, because the storyline was just that good.

I loved the whole matchmaker from the grave concept, and seeing Anna and how she was often compared to Sophie, the letters that Sophie left, and the times she was mentioned, as well as the way she was mentioned... I can honestly say that I wish we would have gotten to know her better because she sounds absolutely fantastic.

I know this may be weird, but I honestly loved all the ways that the author stepped away from the norm. For example, how there was no mutual pining. The pining was completely one-sided until Clem finally realized what a great man Silas is. And I loved seeing how her feelings just grew and evolved from her seeing him as one of her best friends to seeing the possibility of something more.

Quote: “My whole heart is yours. It always has been. I was stupid to ever think otherwise. Please. Please, don’t break it. I’m not sure I could handle it again.”

A Captivating Story

I recently finished the audiobook "One Last Thing" by Susan Henshaw, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! The story is beautifully crafted, weaving together emotion, humor, and profound insights that kept me engaged from start to finish.

The narration by CJ Mission and Rebecca Gibel was nothing short of spectacular. Their voices brought the characters to life, adding depth and nuance that truly enhanced the storytelling. Each inflection and pause felt perfectly timed, making it easy to lose myself in the world Henshaw created.

What I loved most was how the narrators captured the essence of the characters, making their journeys feel personal and relatable. It felt like I was right there with them, experiencing every twist and turn.

If you're looking for an audiobook that combines a compelling narrative with outstanding narration, "One Last Thing" is a must-listen. I can't recommend it highly enough!
