Publisher's Summary

Renowned scholar William Lane Craig offers a listenable, rich training manual for defending the Christian faith.

This concise guide is filled with sidebars and memorizable steps to help Christians stand their ground and defend their faith with reason and precision. In his engaging style, Dr. Craig offers four arguments for God's existence, defends the historicity of Jesus' personal claims and resurrection, addresses the problem of suffering, and shows why religious relativism doesn't work. Along the way, he shares his story of following God's call in his own life.

This one-stop, how-to-defend-your-faith manual will equip Christians to advance faith conversations deliberately, applying straightforward, cool-headed arguments. They will discover not just what they believe, but why they believe - and how being on guard with the truth has the power to change lives forever.

Absolutely reasoned apologetic

As the author states this audiobook is designed to be learned not just listened to. This is the most rigorously reasoned apologetic work available. I just finished my first time listening through the entire volume. I now cannot wait to start one section at a time for memorization. I will use this book for my lifetime to bolster my ability to reason with others about the faith. I cannot thank Dr Craig enough for his excellent apologetic work and faithful commitment to Christianity!

a lot packed into this amazing book

This book is packed with great information and really great applications in which to use this information. Dr Craig in this book answers why is it important to study apologetics, solid arguments to believe the Earth was created, and evidence that the the Creator is the God of the Bible. Plus the discussion on the historical accuracy of the Bible and the proof of the empty tomb round out the great subject matter of this book.

On Target and worth reading.

If you could sum up On Guard in three words, what would they be?

Finally a comprehensive explanation of the beliefs and doctrines that every christian holds dear. If you wish to argue about truth with a christian please pick up this book and read it first. Especially if you find the christian faith outdated and irrelevant. this is the book for you. If you re a Christian who is having trouble responding to the modern atheist, Muslim, or "other" please read this book. you will find what you are looking for here. its an introductory book but it is still loaded with relevant information.

William Lane Craig nails it

I've been resding, listening to, and watching William Lane Craig for several years. I finally decided to purchase this audio book just to deepen my knowledge and critical thinking skills for apologetics conversations. It was well worth it. This book covers all the major points I've heard by listening to his material over the years, but it's all in one place, and in a more organized fashion than having to Google individual topics to get his thinking on a subject. I'll listen to this more than once.

A must-listen for Christians and septics alike.

Only one issue: the last section of the fine-tuning argument was awkwardly displaced into the next chapter.
