This book had a very difficult time staying on topic. It fluctuated between God‘s love, and what man’s love is supposed to be. It made several claims that were not substantiated by scripture and at other times went off on tangents completely unrelated to love in any way, but were Probably helpful to those who lack general biblical knowledge.

Did not impress me.

It spends as much time talking about predestination as it does love. I can understand why he links the two, but... you don't need to lay out a lengthy defence of the reformed view of predestination in a book about Gods love.

He also takes the stance that love is verb not a noun(or at least more a verb), which is stupid. Love is both a noun AND a verb, and is clearly protrayed in the Bible as such. A consolation is that he at least accepts that God does have feelings.

He has some good stuff in it, but overall it's just not a great book on the topic.

I normally like R.C. Sproul, but this is not his best.
