Nyarlathotep

During a time of political and social unrest in Egypt, a god-like force, Nyarlathotep, emerges. He travels the land dazzling people with electricity and psychology. While witnesses of this god-like creature encourage others to see him, afterwards, people seem terrified. As the narrator recounts his experiences, he becomes disoriented. By the end of the story, the narrator and the other viewers of Nyarlathotep begin to lose touch with reality.

Narratives galore

Good thing this was short otherwise I would be itching for at least a dialogue from a character.

But despite its length, I learned today after listening to this that Lovecraft's stories need to be given full attention to understand everything.

Narration. Tone and timber were pleasing to my ear. Some voices in other books are hard to discern due to tinnitus.

The classical horror of Lovecraft is nice to hear and not just picture from reading g alone.

I like HPL, but that was Enh…

I know it’s short. And not one of his mainstream pieces, but I expected more. Maybe I need to listen again?

Classic HP Cthulu Myhthos story

Great story. Well written and gripping. Great piece of the Cthulu myth is. Well narrated. I love all of HP's work as well as the majority of the modern additions to the Mythos.

The Crawling Chaos

Almost typical Lovecraft, yet a bit more horrible. The protagonist battles against the blackness and chaos which is Nyarlathotep. Once the protagonist challenges Nyarlathotep at a lecture all sanity eludes the gathered crowd. Only I am alive to tell the tale......but the gargoyles are staring and . . . . .
