Enjoyable, but not memorable!

Not Another Bad Date by Rachel Gibson was somewhat entertaining, but not one of my favorites. Nicole Poole has a nice voice, and her performance was good. This is credit worthy if you are in the mood for an enjoyable, but not memorable experience.

Just too formulaic and predictable for me

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It took several start and I would shut it off after 10 minutes and go to another book. I did get through it when I turned it on at bedtime and fell asleep listening to it night after night.

If you’ve listened to books by Rachel Gibson before, how does this one compare?

I have read and enjoyed her other stories (not in this series). This was just flatter, just too, too predictable. Romance has a forgone ending but there was not enough freshness in the situations and character to get lost in it as I would a good story.

Have you listened to any of Nicole Poole’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She does a GREAT job with the narration in this book. Her voices for each character are very distinct which makes dialog so easy to follow.

Any additional comments?

Personally, I did not enjoy this. I could anticipate every upcoming scene, every emotional up and down. I like a romance book that has more depth to the characters so that I can really get into their hearts and minds.

The Writers

Loved reading the series about four writers. This was the fourth and last. So enjoyed their stories. Just sorry to come to an end!

A good solid read

Wish we had more interactions with the writer friends. I missed them, but solid effort. I liked Adele and her story.

Decent Book

Not Another Bad Date" by Rachel Gibson had all the hallmarks of a classic romantic comedy, but ultimately, it landed in the "just okay" category for me. While there were moments of genuine humor and some charming characters, the overall experience felt a bit uneven.

If you enjoy Rachel Gibson this is one of her best. Its got it all a long lost love rekindled, funny and smart, tossed up with great characters who with each chapter leave you wanting to hear more.

The permis of curse of bad dates and the fun way it is deliver and broken.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved a lot of scenes especially the one in which Adele and Zak were in. I love the books the drama and fun of the sexy scenes especially the one in the girls bathroom.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I had the time, I will re listen to this book several times.

If you love Rachel Gibson this is one of the must have books.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This was a nice romantic comedy. I really enjoyed the narrator even though she kept doing this weird inhaling thing. Her voices were really great and it made me enjoy the story even more. She really brought a lot of charm to the lead male role.

Best of the series.

Best best of one of my favorite series by the great Rachel Gibson. Laugh out loud funny and so smart and touching.
