Publisher's summary

Raphael is an Angel of Order, sort of. His affinity for chaos makes him the perfect choice to investigate the trespass in Alaska of supernatural creatures not seen in eons. But the locals in Juneau have been keeping a secret for thousands of years -the disgraceful offspring of an angel and a demon. Raphael should execute her on the spot, or at the very least throw her into Hel with the rest of her kind, but Raphael has never been one to follow the rules.

Ahia has lived for thousands of years with the Alaskan natives and werewolves, told that she's a Nephilim and must stay hidden lest the angels find and kill her. But when interdimensional rifts begin opening up throughout Alaska, swallowing humans and spitting out dangerous monsters, the angels are the only beings who can help.

Of course the angel they send is smoking hot, and demands she assist him in closing the rifts. Far from the stern, enforcer of rules, this angel is fun and flirty, tempting Ahia to drag this project out far longer than she should.

But when one of the rifts takes the local Alpha as well as a group of humans, the situation becomes urgent. Ahia will need to risk everything - her life, her heart, and all she's believed true to bring them home, because whatever the angels might call her, she won't abandon those who trust her to keep them safe.

amazing book

As always I loved this addition to the imp world. I've read/ listened to all the main books and am now re-reading them all in order including the side stories and I absolutely loved this book. The exploration into Raphael's character was so compelling and Ahia made an amazing protagonist.
p.s. Angela Rysk knocked it out the park with her dynamic reading once again :)

Another hit for the Imp series.

Sam is still my favorite Angel of Chaos, but I liked Ahia too. I’m glad that Raph found someone he is such a great character. My only wish is that we had more time in the rift and more conflict to overcome, that part was over to fast. Overall a fun book with no bummer conflict to mess with their love. My only other wish is that we had seen Gabriel’s story too in another standalone book. Narrator is great she does spunky angel of chaos perfectly.

Great book!

This book is funny, sexy, captivating and all around just a good book! You can read this book with the series or on its own - you will understand what's going on if you choose on its own.

Debra Dunbar is one of my top authors and she doesn't disappoint. This book is great. The story line keeps you paying attention. I had to force my self to stop listening to it at midnight otherwise I would have been up all night!

The narration is awesome as well. Smooth and easy to listen to. I love Angela's voice - very sexy.

Upbeat love story

I kept waiting for the inevitable conflict between the couple, the one that gets old.
It never came :-)
This is an upbeat happy love story with lots of adventure.

*sigh*

I absolutely love, love, love this series. Ralphies story is so sweet and even though I know he isn't real my heart wants to burst with happiness for him. Angela Risk does another amazing job of bringing the characters to life, for my audio pleasure. Its another amazing addition to my audio library!

Good - but not as great as the other Imp series

This was worth a listen and I enjoyed it, but some bits needed some work. The Brent sections were a bit waffly and boring and the story overall could have been expanded on a bit more. The narration came across a bit flatter than Angela Rysk’s normal standard, as if she hadn’t read the story enough to really know the story and emphasise the words in the most engaging way. The Imp series is simply fantastic so it’s difficult to stand up to that comparison, but it was still an enjoyable credit spent.

An Enjoyable Easy to Listen to Story

This book is a spinoff from the main Imp series and although it could be read stand alone I wouldn't recommend it, too much background would be lost.

This is basically a feel good paranormal romance between the Archangel Raphael - who we have grown to know and like in the main Imp series and a forbidden "nephilim" who of course is risking her life being seen etc

I have a feeling the romance is really the theme and a plot was derived to put the two together, rather than having a great plot where romance develops naturally.

That said there is a plot and its not a bad one though it did seem a bit rushed at the end and leaves quite a few unanswered questions - there could easily be a sequel or the relationship may swing back into the main series Sam and Ahia would get along like a house on fire literally!

There is some fairly descriptive bedroom action but nothing beyond found in other Imp books

Angela Rysk does a decent job in narration but she isnt one of my favourites. I'm used to her style now though and its hard to imagine anyone else doing these books

Not the best Imp world book by any means but I still enjoyed it

Enjoyable.

I enjoyed listening to it. It’s a basic story that ended quite quickly but as I said enjoyable.
