Marshall Rosenberg PhD
What if you could defuse tension and create accord in even the most volatile situations - just by changing the way you spoke? Over the past 35 years, Marshall Rosenberg has done just that, peacefully resolving conflicts in families, schools, businesses, and governments in 30 countries all over the world. On Nonviolent Communication, this renowned peacemaker presents his complete system for speaking our deepest truths, addressing our unrecognized needs and emotions, and honoring those same concerns in others. With this adaptation of the best-selling book of the same title, Marshall Rosenberg teaches in his own words:
- Observations, feelings, needs, and requests - how to apply the four-step process of Nonviolent Communication to every dialogue we engage in
- Overcoming the blocks to compassion - and opening to our natural desire to enrich the lives of those around us
- How to use empathy to safely confront anger, fear, and other powerful emotions
Here is a definitive audio training workshop on Marshall Rosenberg's proven methods for "resolving the unresolvable" through Nonviolent Communication.

What made the experience of listening to Nonviolent Communication the most enjoyable?
Dr. Rosenberg was easy to listen to, was relatable and gave great information. For far too long we have communicated to be heard, even if we are not clear on what we truly want to say and not to listen, both to our internal selves and those we are speaking with. If everyone used nonviolent communication we would certainly live in a much more peaceful world. What does Marshall Rosenberg bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I enjoyed that Dr.Rosenberg narrated the book himself, bringing his passion and humor to his workings vs having it read by someone else.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were moments when I both laughed and cried because this book deals with very personal feelings. You have to want to make changes and be a better version of yourself so allowing yourself to have emotions and take ownership for past behavior and actions will only propel you forward on that destination.Any additional comments?
I would have liked to have had more examples in some cases. Although examples are given as to a better response to have or use, there were some that did not and I myself learn better with more detailed ques. I also would have enjoyed having the book end with a little more of a solid conclusion or a farewell and well wishes for success from Marshall himself to feel a sense of closure with the book. What a different world we could live in!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I have recommended this book to my son, who is a Pastor. It has many good points and some bad ones, but the good ones are worth digging out. What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
Learning to differentiate between thoughts, emotions and true feelings is a great asset in one's emotional Intelligence armory. This book is well presented and well worth the listen. I have listened to it (and read the book) many times over.. Great examples and poignant lessons to a better life and better communication levels both interpersonal and intrapersonal.OBSERVATION WITHOUT EVALUATION
