Publisher's summary

Christine Stewart is a regular woman just doing her job when she becomes stranded in history. When she gets up for the day, her plan is simple: Wake up and head off to work, traveling back in time to Oklahoma in 1867 to deport a cyber-criminal. After work, it's back to 2070 Los Angeles to prepare for a vacation with her son, Michael.

That's the plan.

Then the system fails, leaving Christine - and dozens of other transporters around the world - stranded in the past with minimal training and no supplies.

What starts as a bad situation only gets worse when she is flung even further away to a place in time where her actions and decisions mean so much more to the world than whether or not she ever makes it home again.

As her goals shift from simply getting home to something much more dire to all of humanity, Christine must make the choice between what is easy and what is right. Even if it costs her everything - including her one chance of ever getting home.

Sounded like a beginning work of a housewife

several times were visited, some interesting like medieval England, and th e 1870s. in my opinion there was not enough detail. I did not get the whole idea of preparing criminals for exile downtime. the guides were too nice to the criminals. the mom and son separated idea would have worked better if it had been an accident and he were younger, but not so good with him working in the same transporting business. I did not like the narriator, too. I hoped the main character would have some serious problems and become clever instead of Just hiding from the times in the woods or whining about her friend. Demonstrating in the same category as Outlander.

Strong start

I was not expecting to like this, I have been in a bit of a book slump. After listening to the summary I wanted to find out what happened to the main character. Narration was okay, I have heard worse. All in all a good story, ending was a little weak in my opinion but I don't regret the credit spent. I will keep an eye out for future books from this author.
