Publisher's summary

Welcome to Brighton. Nestled in the North Carolina foothills, this small community boasts scenic, rural sights and easy, small town living...or so it seems. There is a dark side to this bit of Southern Americana, a secret show of which few know and fewer dare speak. Strange beasts roam these forests, spirits stir the dust of old houses, and vast powers crouch just beyond perception.

In these 12 tales, see the idyllic mask peeled back and bear witness to those things which lurk ever present just beneath the surface.

Hidden Gem

I read the physical copy of this book when I found it on Amazon a year or so ago. I loved the stories, especially The Old Woods and Good Boy. This author is talented and self published, and he deserves more attention. The audio book version adds another layer to the spooks, as the narrator's voice is expressive and dedicated on delivering a great performance. I recommend to check it out! it's a quick read or listen, and Halloween is right around the corner...
