Entertaining but a little predictable
If you’ve ever seen a late 90s, early 2000s monster film/ x-files than this definitely fits in that genre. Enjoyable brain candy with somewhat interesting characters. Fun monster characteristics. Definitely worth a try if you like monster mysteries. Somewhat predictable though.

Good old fashioned werewolf story.
I have always loved the classic monsters of yesteryear. The wolf man, swamp creature, ect. This book takes you on an exciting adventure from the wilds of Louisiana with its hoodoo and curses to battle the monster a staid and thoughtful judge brings home with him. As the body count grows our small group of people must battle the creature and win or he will just regenerate on the next full moon. A great fun read for Halloween!

Excellent werewolf story
It starts a little slow, but that's to build characters you want to invest in. After that, the ride is a thrilling and terrifying one. This would make a great movie.

very fun!
there were several plot holes in the story. like why would they fight on the monsters turf when they could have lured it somewhere to kill it? but other than that, it was very entertaining. I liked Graham as a character. he was funny.

A great audiobook
I love great creature and monster books and have listened to some real stinkers lately, the narration horrible or the author rambling into supernatural things when the monsters were very mortal, but this has been a VERY pleasant surprise! The story kept a rapid pace, the characters were real and normally human, and the monster was wonderfully scary. I recommend for anyone wanting a fun, absorbing book!
