Publisher's summary

The heart-stopping final installment in New York Times bestselling author Molly McAdams's Redemption series.

My life has never been my own. From the time I could walk, I was trained to be the mob's hardened assassin. To be a monster. I've been told what to do, when to kill, and who to love. The minute I strayed, I lost everything.

Then I met Jessica.

She swept into my life like a storm of heartache, seduction, and intrigue. She's everything I hate, but with one look, I can't stay away. With one touch, she ignites a craving unlike anything I've ever known.

But her secrets threaten to destroy everything closest to me. Including her…

Together we're poison. A destructive combination of darkness and chaos. And I want to savor every drop in my veins.

Drama, Suspense, Romance, this book had it all!

I absolutely loved this story line, which was a surprise for me. I listened the prior book, Firefly and did not see myself loving Keiran's story. But I was so wrong, his story was my favorite in the series. Manipulated his whole life by the mob, he never truly knew if he loved his former girlfriend Lily because it was his job or what was in his heart. And Jessica, her story was heartbreaking. Growing up with a mentally ill, drug addicted mother, left her with no choice but to put her body out there to make money. When these Kieran and Jessica collide, there is a chemistry there that can't be ignored, no matter what truly brought them together. Calming each others darkness, the story of these two finding each other was a wild ride and I loved listening to every minute! The narrators were fantastic as well, great duo.

Wow! Series Hangover.

There seems to be nothing better than two tormented souls finding redemption and safety in each other. I felt so sad for Kieran in Firefly. He was a man doing his best at what he felt was true. I expected him to fall off the deep end but somehow he persevered and discovered more to life than he ever felt he deserved. Jessica. In the darkest place he found her. And all her fears and bravado couldn’t keep her from loving the tormented man she knew only as a monster.

Sigh. Jason and Erin were unstoppable in this series. Perfection in narration.

👍🏻👍🏻TWO PULSING THUMBS UP!

Best of the Series

This book is so very good. It has it all thrill, suspense , romance, and steam. Even though I listened to it through Audible Escape, I would definitely use a credit to enjoy this nonstop thrill ride.
Narration was perfect!

Absolutely loved it!

Of all the books in this series, this one stressed me out the most- haha but in a good way! Full of drama and twists. Kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t stop listening! Highly suggest!

It was a good 3rd book in the series

The darkness was a bit much, but I get it. The story was okay. It feels like it took forever to wrap up. I only continued it (I was a little bored with it) because I wanted the whole spectrum from this to the next series. I get why Connor has a book and I approve. I do wish I had read this series first, because I think the next one is better and it may have made a difference in how I viewed this series. The narration was good. But it's weird to have the same girl do the female characters in all the books in the series. It doesn't feel like different people. So that made it kinda strange to get onboard with each new character.

WHEN DARKNESS MEETS CHAOS IT’S THE PERFECT STORM

I thought I was going to have a major book hangover after finishing my last listen but wow.. this very addictive captivating story, and its colorful characters, quickly pulled me out of my book funk and satisfyingly submerged me into a compelling Mafia suspense/romance story.

Kieran is the Holloway mob’s assassin.. they call him Nightshade.. he’s darkness, stealth and no-one sees this cold killer coming because he silently blends into the shadows.. and his weapon of choice is a knife.. or, more precisely, knives. He, and a few close allies, have been slowly planning to overthrow their cruel manipulative evil boss and things finally come to a head in this final book in the Redemption series.. but it’s not without heartbreaking casualties. There are two sides to this handsome anti-hero.. his dark side of Nightshade and Kieran is his softer side.. but he has a broken heart after events in book 2. However, when he meets a strange ‘working girl’ called Jessica who also has a crazy side which he calls Chaos.. she’ll intrigue him, frustrate him, keep secrets, be the only person to sense him without actually seeing him and, despite their demons, she’ll throw an emotional curveball that’ll show him they were made for each other.

Jessica has had a terrible childhood and her mother’s drug use/abuse has created an overwhelming financial burden and left Jessica with few options over her life. Demons from her past, demons in her present and demons that want to manipulate her future have forced Jessica to create a carefree crazy upbeat facade.. but deep down she’s desperate for someone to really see her, to slay her demons and to save her from her nightmare life. Nightshade/Kieran might just be the right person to do it.. but between them and their HEA there’s a whole hell of a lot of obstacles in their way.

What an emotional and riveting slow-build to this love story that unfortunately ends a powerful and unforgettable three book series. It was well-written, angst-ridden, full of drama, had amazingly colorful characters, heat, heartache, passion, pain, suspense, bloodshed, some humor and challenging relationship issues as the hero and heroine had off-the-charts chemistry but zero trust in one another. I loved the unraveling of Jessica and Kieran’s lives and the development of their relationship, mutual dependency and love.. a love that would finally let the light into their darkly tainted lives.

Worth a credit? Definitely a big, bursting at the seams, YES. It’s non-stop action and the rollercoaster of highs and lows don’t stop til the bitter-sweet end. It could possibly be standalone but each book connects characters and develops the secondary plot further taking it to its final conclusion within this book. The dual POV narration is spot on.. conjuring and creating deliciously colorful mental images of the characters, their emotions, their quirks, the action-packed scenes and the suspenseful drama to life making it an unforgettable listen.

OMG, Chaos Awaits

This series was amazing. I didn't rate the fiest two, but they are a 5 across the board. The books really should be read (listened to) in order. You gain a deeper understanding of alm the characters. This one, though, I couldn't stop listening to. The narrators were amazing. They made you feel the terror, anquish, and love that the characters had. My overactive emotions had me laughing, spewing hatred, cheering, and crying.

💥💥💥I love you Jason Clarke!!!!

Such a good series and Jason Clarke and Erin ooze passion in this story. The narration was wonderful. l love Jason and Erin together. Jessica was tough and I liked her flawed character. Keiran was a dark and passionate character and Jason nailed it. Great Ending to a great series by awesome narrators. Erin was fabulous as usual. Glad the Author continued with Jason and Erin. Sometimes the male characters are switched from book to book but Jason and Erin being in every book a part of the series made the series terrific. Thanks to all.

What happens when Chaos takes over your life?

Jason and Erin have completely owned this series with their narrating. I cannot imagine any other people narrating these characters. The emotions that they give voice to are so amazing and it makes the listener feel what they are feeling.

Molly really wrapped up the Redemption series well with Kieran’s story. So many times my heart broke for him in Firefly and Nightshade. He met his match in Jessica and they are definitely meant for each other.

Jessica is one of the strongest female characters I can remember reading in a long time. She does anything and everything to survive and take care of her mother, even if the mother doesn’t deserve the sacrifices Jess makes. Although her meeting Kieran was no coincidence the love for him that consumes her was not part of the plan.

Nightshade does end with an HEA but what Kieran and Jessica have to endure to get to that point had me nerves on edge. There is nothing better than when an author’s words affect me that much…that is just a telling sign of how well they tell a story.

I really enjoyed this entire series. After book 1 it changed and just got even better. I was anxious for Kieran's story and it was everything I wanted it to be. Kieran is a very dark, quite and dangerous guy but once he finds "the one" man he gets possessive and I loved that! Jessica was a surprise for me, I wasn't sure how I was feeling about her and if she could be trusted but in the end I loved her too. There was a lot of excitement and sadness in this one and it had a bittersweet ending. I'll be watching for more books by this author for sure.

I'm a broken record about the narration. Jason & Erin are amazing! They both really knocked this series out of the park. PERFECT casting!
