Horror mixed with teen romance

I actually liked this book more than I thought I would. I loved the main character Mia. Her personality was that of what I would consider a typical teenager. The author really thought about it a lot because I thought she was perfect. I love the change from horror/thriller aspect to the teen romance and back again. It was a great mix.
Would highly recommend.
I thought the narrator did a great job in narrating the voices of the characters.

Teen Romance with "Bite"

The Prologue is pure Horror, then Chapter One goes to a Teen Romance. This back and forth between the genres is disconcerting but the overall effect turns our pretty darn good! The book has a very different theme to werewolves, more science than magic. Give it a listen if you want a different take on horror, and like teen romance as well.

Night of Hidden Fang

Teenage Werewolf drama. It was okay, but I'm not into the melodrama.I imagine the YA crowd would eat it up.Narration by Becky Parker was fine.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Werewolves of Omaha

This was an entertaining book. Mia has recently moved to Omaha with her parents and is struggling to fit in to her new school. Even though she has lived many places due to her father's military career, it never gets any easier. When her best friend disappears, things start to get interesting!

Mia meets up with a group of three boys who are standing naked in a corn field. From there, she finds herself drawn into a world she never would have thought possible.

I love a good werewolf story and this one was pretty good. It reminded me a little of the movie "Lost Boys" and the author has done a good job in meshing life as a teenager with werewolves. The book is full of just the right amount of humor to keep it from becoming too dire.

The audiobook included a bonus short story that explained some of the beginning of this outbreak and I enjoyed it almost as much as the featured book.

The narrator did a great job and captured the emotions and tensions perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good werewolf story and even though it is a YA book, us older adults would enjoy it, too.

....eh.

Kept me occupied while driving and during work. I did want to finish it, so that must mean something. General story direction was okay, even if a bit ridiculous at times. A lot of stuff could have been explored more and was just glossed over....like, hundreds of people and animals going missing or killed and it's just like "Oh no.... anyway-"
I'm generally picky about werewolf depictions and thought this take was alright.

Read like a disney tv movie with a bit of gore and swearing. I know it's a "young adult" novel, but I rolled my eyes and cringed at a quite a bit of the writing and dialogue, and I don't mean the teen love parts since I was expecting that. Tonally all over the place, no real consistency, ESPECIALLY in the narration. A lot of the narration sounded like preschool teacher reading to students, and was kind of annoying and killed the mood.

Overall, just okay. Could have been better.

Definitely 5 stars!! Worth the money and your cred

Solid characters, amazing narrator!
The story captures you and holds you there waiting to see what happens next!
Mia is just trying to get through each day hoping the next one will be better.
She heads to the forest to clear her head and to say goodbye to a missing friend.
She hears something big around her in the woods. She takes off with her dog and ends up in a ditch.
She sees a boy behind a bush.
She asks what he’s doing there in the bushes.
She doesn’t feel afraid of him. He’s younger than her and asks her for help.
Friends are hard to come by or keep because they move a lot. Being that her family is Military.
This starts a nonstop adventure!
Between the story and the narrator they pulled me in so deep.
I realized I was almost done with the book!
Well that wouldn’t do! So I bought the next one in the series at that moment!
I love this book!

New Take on the YA Werewolf Novel

This story focuses on a pack of werewolves who terrorize Omaha, Nebraska. The protagonist is half-Asian girl named Mia. She has extremely good luck and escape many life of death situations. The best part of the book is the author's portrayal of werewolves. They are presented in a fresh way. They aren't strictly evil, just like humans some are good and some are bad. So the reader can sympathize with the werewolves and can also sympathize with the humans that are prey.

I really enjoyed this story & the narrator

I can't even begin to say how good this was. The story was well written & the narrator did a phenomenal job. I loved the way she put feeling in her voice for each character & situation. My favorite was when she was talking about Deuce. Great characters. Glad to see that the three boys were okay. Great read.

Likeable characters, interesting world

I felt this story was well-written, with an interesting and likeable cast of characters. They handled werewolves in the real world about as believably as possible, and the plot kept my attention and was well paced. I also enjoyed the narration. Overall, solid thumbs up for me and I'm looking forward to the sequel.
