Are you vaccinated and boosted?

The dialogue was stilted. But what was really annoying was the constant referencing to being vaccinated and boosted and the implication that anyone who wasn’t would spread the virus. How about a novel about funding research in a virology lab, leaking the virus, big pharma, and payoffs.

Predictable, same storyline

I have been looking forward to this new release but was disappointed by the predictability and similar storyline to previous books. I was also surprised at a few medically inaccurate details. Overall the book was well read and the characters are always great, but overall the book was just ok.

One of the best of Jack and Laurie

Of all of Cook’s Jack Stapleton and Laurie Montgomery series, this is one of my favorites. Jack’s best qualities shine through from the beginning until circumstances allow Laurie to take the helm of the rest of the sleuthing and provide an incredibly satisfying conclusion.

Shame on Robin Cook

Dr. Cook- I almost erased this book from the get-go at the 1st mention of Covid vaccines (making light of Jack’s mother-in-laws wise anti-vax stance). For a Dr. who has spent a career writing about the evils of giant healthcare corporations and out of control big pharma I am completely surprised that you didn’t choose to write about the real serial killers like Faucci, big media, big tech & big pharma.
Any chance that you might revise thus book with the truth we all are beginning to see (ala Elon Musk and the Twitter files for starters)?

Another Thriller

Robin Cook keeps me listening for hours on end. I always enjoy his medical thrillers! The narrator was good.

Exceptional cliff hanger for Jack and Lori

Robin Cook has hit another one out of the park. CME Lori and ME Jack are solving cases like always but this one is an action thriller! Couldn’t put it down.
