The irony is you don't deal with loneliness by trying to fix something that isn't there. Osho made it clear a room filled with darkness is not fixed by dealing with the darkness. You have to deal with light to get rid of darkness because darkness is an absence of light. in the same way loneliness is an absence that must be addressed by giving out love. Osho then went on to point out that all human relationships like marriage and friendships are society's way of attempting to deal with loneliness. Many people in marriages are still lonely so in many cases even a life partner cannot fix the problem. The issue is really that all of reality is impermanent and mankind's ideal is a friendship or marriage that last forever which is impossible. Learning to love but not hold onto another; being capable of sharing kindness with everyone and not limiting yourself to a few lovers. Loneliness is an issue with a person who has not expanded their love towards the whole world. Don't try to fix a lack of something by focusing on the lack because then you are fighting an enemy that doesn't exist: this only can be addressed by seeking out what's missing. Osho gives such great advice and this talk was filled with a multitude of ways to address many more issues than just loneliness. His advice at the end was to meditate, to find that center of silence and solitude and find peace with it. Be comfortable with your own solitude and you will never be lonely. Then go into the world showing kindness and love to all beings and you will find yourself to be like a cloud filled with rain ready to rain upon all surfaces. The more love you have to give, the more you will have.

This was about how to deal with loneliness.
