Good series

I was a little frustrated with this series of books in the beginning due to the author bouncing from one storyline to another. But now that some of the different storylines are coming together I'm appreciating the series more.

I hope to see more of the different threads coming together and I'm curious on what does become of the Marines in this new universe without the empire.

Good thing its fantacy

I've been loving the series and enjoy the dystopic view...just glad it is fiction.

it is a great series and I enjoy a lot I love how he is bringing characters alive in one book then bringing them together later in others I can't wait for the next one

A fun story to play with

Finally, it dawns on me that this book needs a drinking game. Just take a shot every time they say rape. Lay in a case first. Somehow in the future we have such high tech that it brings out the rapist in everyone. It is one of the most consistent plot devices in this series.

Captivating story

This is book ten in the Empire Corps Series. The war is not going well for the Commonwealth. Wolfhane’s forces are pressing on all fronts. The Commonwealth realizes they have a high placed spy in their midst. Brigadier General Jasmine Yamane, who is my favorite character in the series, is being held prisoner in a POW camp on the plant Meridian.
This book picks right up where the prior book “Retreat Hell” stopped. Stalker is pursuing the spy, with the help of Kitty, the head of Intelligence. I am becoming fascinated with Kitty and her sneaky methods. Jasmine and the men captured with her are attempting to escape the POW camp and return to the Commonwealth. Jasmine rescues about a 1000 people from the POW camp and manages to arrange their transportation to Avalon.

The book is well written, the pace is fast and the suspense builds throughout the story. Nuttall continues to develop the characters. Nuttall is improving as a writer with each book he completes. Jeffrey Kafer does an excellent job narrating the story.

Entertaining Military Suspense

Now that some of the threads are finally coming together, the story here is getting better. Good special forces action and entertaining characters, if a bit unreasonably lucky.

Another great installment.

This series is great military sci-fi, and if you've read it this far you'll like this one too.

I've been binging the series while at work and it's fantastic. I really like the infotainment of each book.
