Publisher's summary

She escaped the life she had to find the life she needed…

How much of our fate is circumstance?

Noor's life path has always been potholed with obstacles. But she is a survivor, an adapter… a proud wanderer.

Still, the deep yearning for more kept her motivated to conquer every hindrance because there had to be more waiting—somewhere.

Hitchhiking her way to a new coast, she lands at the feet of money, prestige, and a soul-touching love, all at the doing of a chance job opportunity. But it doesn't mean all even terrain, and her past has a problem letting go.

Still, Noor is convinced destiny has brought her to the life she deserves. She won't allow the girl she was to stop her from becoming the woman she needs to be.

Rules don't apply, and she's tired of letting life happen to her. She's determined to finally get everything she's ever wanted. Everything she's ever needed.

Noor's story continues in Needful Noor: Part Two.

Loved it !!!

Now this is thinking outside the box! Very worth the credit! The title is sooooo fitting! The author may not warn you, but I will. There are some triggering moments in this book, but all in all, this was a good read I could not put it down. I am jumping for joy, waiting for the next one to come out part two has to be good.

Let’s hear it for the girl!!!!

This was my favorite read of 2023 and I didn’t think I could love it anymore. The narrators did an excellent job capturing all the little nuances of the story some may have missed. How can you not root for the Noor? The underdog who endured soooo much but still had the tenacity and gumption to go for hers!!! Abject poverty, physical abuse, mental abuse, sexual abused, survived Skid Row just to be sexually assaulted then trafficked !! Many would have given up but Noor persevered and is this close, 👌 to her dream man! Takerra Allen’s writing and story telling is amazing 🙏🏽

People read for inspiration

People read for inspiration. That is what comes to mind after hearing this book. I heard another book from this author and fell in love with the story and the characters. This book was horrible from the first words. The main character didn't make you care about her. She just pissed you off. Tough up bringing yes but, we humans learn fast. This character was not only sad by lacked any sense. Most root for the under dog some, like the HEA. This was a book about a young woman who played dumb and was. The abuse well it happens. This book just put a sour taste in my mouth. The author can write but I hope part 2 is better.
