In a revealing study of relationships where partners love themselves first, last, and always, Cynthia Zayn and Kevin Dibble help listeners determine whether their partner is over the line and has narcissistic personality disorder. The book draws on the authors' research and interviews with a variety of men and women who've been narcissized. Featuring compelling stories and scenarios, Narcissistic Lovers helps victims understand the pain brought on by their abusers, shows why these self-loathers can't change, and offers hope for healing from their "N-fliction".

A Godsend!! Just what I needed!

The use of “his or hers” and “him or her” and “he or she” every time was incredibly distracting and completely unnecessary. Pick one or the other. Alternate if you want. We get it that it could be either.

What did you love best about Narcissistic Lovers?
I loved that the dialogue was down to earth and the examples covered different relationships other than just a narcissistic lover --- this one had examples of lovers, co-workers, friends, parents, etc. All relationships were covered. What other book might you compare Narcissistic Lovers to and why?
Not sure I could name a particular book that this one compares to on this topic.Which scene was your favorite?
Chapter 17 (I think) when the narrator was relating a middle of the night phone call from a narcissistic lover to his girlfriend. When she was saying what he was "really saying"....It literally made me laugh out loud....but, I am on the "other" side of my relationship and can see this scene for exactly how it is....Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
YES....I had an "ah-ha" moment -which I again didn't think could happen to me anymore on this topic due to past research and experience.....BUT there is a part where she describes a lover to a sematic narcissist as an extension for his own masturbation. This may be hard to hear....but, if you have ever TRULY lived with one - - you would know that is the BEST way to describe most of these situations.....Any additional comments?
This book kept my interest and the narrator did an AMAZING job~~~~And yet I learned more....
