Entertaining Listen

Interesting characters and I loved the Scottish accent. I hope there will be another one.

An enjoyable detective story

I love the various voices, the many accents, even the beautiful singing parts, the reader is completely on their game.

The author has started to take some shortcuts and is seeming less subtle in their clues and solutions. Oh, and Daisy, who was once so much more clever was almost a stereotype of the uneducated comic relief while our protagonist is becoming haughtier. And the love interest id getting more and more hallmark channel with furtive looks and backward glances. The trope is getting a bit used. Yes, I love the form of a detective novel and a side love story but please make me work a wee bit harder for it? Or at least assume I am with you for the ride, not needing it to be ‘splained. I have plenty of others in my world who waste their time with that conceit, I know this author can be better than that.

The accents and overall story telling takes you to Scotland while enjoying a story with all the mystery you expect.

Fun Return for Round 3

Whilst I love that the mystery hits the ground running, I did find overall there was some steam lost.
However the enjoyable characters, great narration make for easy listening.

Great Series

I love this series!! I really hope she writes more! Love the historical aspect of it.

Another enjoyable book

This was much better than the previous ones because they did some research for better knowledge in evaluating and eliminating suspects and who may be murdered next. It bothered me that in the previous books they just put on disguises and followed people around. They were such rank amateurs. But in this book, I think they are starting to develop their deductive abilities. That shows some sign of growth. This series may have good possibilities but they need to have their cases hold up well with the law enforcement world; catching the culprit is not the end of the story. In the end, it’s all only their words as to what happened. I will be listen to the next book, if there is another.

Death defying race for answers

This book was just as amazing as the last. The ladies go on a search for a murderer against all odds and learn a bit more about themselves along the way. the clues were reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes and just as intriguing. highly recommend!

Delightful Mystery

All three of the books in this series has been awesome. Besides the mystery, Lydia Traders shared bits of information on Scotland. The narrator is perfect. I will definitely tell my family and book club about this very enjoyable series.

Wonderful captivating charming series!

Lydia Travers has written such a wonderful series, each with captivating stories laced with the style of Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie. Helen McAlpine gives some of the most outstanding performances I have ever listened to in my years of audible books. With her incredible talent as a reader, one can envision each character adding to the pleasure of listening to Ms Travers stories. I have immensely enjoyed each Scottish Ladies Detective Agency books, and will continue to listen to All future productions.
