I shouldn't have agreed to this. What was I thinking?

Heartwarming and Heartbreaking

I really loved this story. The author and narrators did a great job. I also really liked being able to see Brett’s personal growth and all the new characters. I also loved how Brett was with Billie. I guess it’s time to reread Fallen Crest. This story can be read as a standalone but it also fits in at the end of the Fallen Crest series.

Awesome plot twists

Really great story that brought several characters back together. I just wish that the author would stop using “I’ve not, they’ve not, he’s not, etc”. Not a single normal person speaks like that and it drives me insane in all of her writing. Otherwise, the book is great! Especially loved the final epilogue.

Torn

The narration was wonderful. I'm left with so many questions... how was it never mentioned that the brothers body wasn't found? Why did her dad kill the family his daughter was with? I didn't see either the brother or the dad thing coming, and I liked the "suspence" aspect of the book. I just feel a little torn at the moment.

This was a surpirse

I love the fallen crest series and this was one while Brett was introduced in that series is a complete stand alone. It might enhance your reading to understand more of the history since there are some common characters mentioned and appearing in this one. I did always wonder what happened to Brett Broudou, he intrigued me and I was happy to get his story. I really enjoyed Billy as well, she reminded me of the FMC in the Not outcast which was fun even while dealing with some very heavy topics. I did kinda see the ending twist coming but there was one that threw me, which if you're a Tijan fan, she's good at that, Overall I enjoyed this story and the narration was done well.

Wow

The ending actually shocked me. I really liked this book. I liked both the main characters. The trauma was real. The healing and resilience were real. Five stars!

I’m still shook!!

I just finished the audio version and I still can’t stop thinking about the story. I am so glad that Brett got his own story. It was so good and well worth the wait!!!!!!

Go into this book blind, BEYOND WORTH IT

Teddy is a top tier fav of mine regardless of the author, but Andi was PHENOMENAL. This book in audio was such an amazing listen overall and a complete suprise.

I just happened to find this book and thought why not, I did NOT expect this! I loved Billie and Brett! I can also say I did not see the ending coming! Truth bomb and ended the book. Well played!

Just Brilliant

Tijan is brilliant. Just enough up an down and suspense. Ooohhh and that ending. oh and Brett it is so nice to hear his mind work after getting to see him through out the fallen crest series.

I can usually predict what is going to happen in a book. But this one got me all the way to the last line! Soooooo good
