Cute first in series…but

Give this a pass if fat shaming irks you.
Otherwise it’s a fun read with interesting supporting characters.

Just a sweet, charming, easy listen! The narration is good, and the story interesting and well paced!

Murder in a Scottish Shire is an enjoyable cozy mystery. I look forward to reading the next book.

Poor Narration

While I can appreciate adopting the accent of the region, the narrator needs to take into consideration that audiobook listeners have no reference for the written word. Most listeners are not familiar with Scottish accents. Every character sounded either annoyed or whining. Get a new narrator.

They got me!

I did not figure out who the killer was (for once). Well done! I love the relationship journey between the great grandfather, his granddaughter and her son.

Enjoyable cozy mystery

This is one of the gems I trawled from the Audible Plus catalog. Great titles like this keep my paying the plus premium.

Much better than half a dozen other cozy mysteries I just couldn’t get into

Entertaining ‼️

Interesting mystery and learning all the characters…. The perpetrator was a surprise‼️ Paislee got a bit too involved in her desire to ‘help’ … acting like she had a right to question people… 🤷🏻‍♀️
Enjoyed her son & dog and the mystery with the Grandfather and his missing son … a continuing mystery….
Beverley A Crick does a fantastic job … love the accents and Scottish cant❣️❣️❣️
