When a senator's daughter is found dead in a Boston alleyway, former FBI agent Nick Lawrence is called into action. A powerful new drug has hit the streets of Massachusetts, and overdoses are skyrocketing to epidemic proportions.

Senator Buzz Litchfield’s daughter is the latest opioid death, and he wants justice. Law enforcement is being told to take the gloves off; to come down hard on the rampant drug rings that have plagued the area.

Nick Lawrence and the Valhalla Group are tasked with taking down the distribution network, and they must partner with Boston’s elite Tactical Narcotics Team to get the job done. But just as they’re about to make a bust, things go south.

And Nick realizes that in the war on drugs, corruption is everywhere. And nothing is what it seems...

I have very much liked the Nick Lawrence novels! And, in the others I have listened to, the narrator was great. This guy was very boring. His articulation was odd. It was hard to listen to. I did love the story, however!

Great story! Not great narrating.

Okay, so now that Nick Lawrence is one of the better authors that I've listened to, I can only hope and pray that there will be another book in this series. Nick Lawrence's characters are so easy to follow, and he has a masterful way of not clogging up his book with random characters that do nothing but add pages. Cory Snow did a great job narrating this book.

The sad part about coming to the end of this series is that it leaves me wanting more and more. This is a true sign that the author has produced some great books. Come on Brian, don't let this be the end of this series.

THERE BETTER BE ANOTHER BOOK IN THIS SERIES

I didn’t like the way the heroes completely ignore the legal rights of the bad guys. I hope that’s not how our justice system really works

Exciting but Predictable Climax

Great story should be 1/2 credit due to length maybe combine as a combo with his other shirt book

Short

Predictable but entertaining to listen to while mowing the lawn. The Nick Lawrence series could use better narrators.

Not Shakespeare ... but entertaining
