Good story ... terrible narration

The story was great but the narration was horrendous. Sounds like she is eating or drinking something the entire time. Almost made me stop listening.

Great Author Tricky Plot HORRIBLE NARRATOR

I have never written a review before and I’ve been listening to Audible books for over 3 yrs. if it weren’t the fact that I want to read this complete series I would return it and start another but I wanted to hear the story out.

Good story but HORRIBLE performance!!

This was a fine story and, overall, I enjoyed it BUT if you choose to listen to this book (I have listened to other stories read by this same individual and they were fine), throughout the ENTIRE book, she sounded as if she was talking with food in her mouth, having to swallow after every few words!!

The narrator is terrible.

I never write reviews. This is the second book with Barbara Rosenblat narrating. It’s so distracting. You can hear her swallow everytime she talks. It sounds like she is drinking and eating while she is reading. I don’t mean to be mean to her but please don’t let her narrate anymore books.

Good story

overall good story and narrator has a nice voice and rhythm...however, listening to her constant swallowing was both distracting and annoying. There must be a way to remedy that....it's the first narrator I've heard with such an issue.

Distracting

The story line was great. I found the constant swallowing and inhaling by the narrator to be distracting. I will pass on any other books narrated by Kate Burton.

Great!

Great book, but I missed Bennie, as she's usually front and center and Lisa Scott Illini's books.

Really good, but bad language

The author is going downhill on this one as far as bad language goes. What happened? The f-bomb, lots of the Lord's name in vain. I might have to take a break from her work, and I had really been enjoying her. Good book otherwise.

Narrator ruined it!

I love this Author and the story was great. However, I had to stop listening because of the Narrator. She sounded like her mouth was constantly dry or full of food. It’s baffling that a better Narrator wasn’t assigned this book.

Performance

Decent book I like the series. The narrator is ok, but it is extremely distracting to hear her breathing and swallowing.
