Publisher's Summary
My name is Katniss Everdeen. Why am I not dead? I should be dead.
Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss’ family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.
It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans - except Katniss.
The success of the rebellion hinges on Katniss’ willingness to be a pawn, to accept responsibility for countless lives, and to change the course of the future of Panem. To do this, she must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebels’ Mockingjay - no matter what the personal cost.

Heartbreaking.
So many reviews say that this is the worst of the trilogy, but, for me anyway, this is right up there with the rest, just in a different way. There is no way that anyone could stay the same having endured what Katniss and Peeta endured and I think Suzanne Collins reflected that in the way Katniss is in this. She is heartbroken, depressed, sad, guilty and everything else and it's all battling inside her head. She is broken and maybe nothing will bring her together, but she is trying! My heart broke for her so many times, my heart broke for Peeta, my poor broken heart broke some more for their relationship and then my heart shattered at the end!! No matted how many times I read this book, it never fails but to affect my emotions!!
“You love me. Real or not real?" *Sigh*
Again, Tatiana Maslany narrated this brilliantly. She made Katniss come alive here and portrayed her brokenness perfectly.
Anyway, this series is phenomenal and I urge everyone to try it at least once!

Tatiana Maslany is the One Ring
This book is a stark, dark look at the depths of humanity. I appreciated this story much more thinking of it as a commentary on power and manipulation. It’s also a good statement on how much we lose when we go to war. Soldiers on both sides deal with trauma and horror for years.
As always, Tatiana Maslany is nothing short of #bossstatus. She injects an emotion into the reading that enriches the story at every level. She truly brought the story and pain to life.

What a letdown
I really enjoyed listening to the Hunger Games series but man this last novel was SUCH a letdown. Just a depressing and awful ending that I could not get behind. Tatiana does an amazing job of narration though throughout but geez wish the ball hadn't been dropped so hard for this last novel. Really disappointed.

Good but not the same level as the first two books
It very much felt like the storyline was created as an afterthought to follow on from the first two books. I don’t know if that was the case or not, but it didn’t have the same appeal to me at all. I still listened the whole way through and am intrigued to watch the films as a comparison though so I wouldn’t dismiss it if you have read the hunger games/catching on fire already.

Once Again... Flawless!
For the third time running I have loved every moment of this story! The detail of the world and development of the characters are amazing. I particularly 'like' President Coin, great addition to the story. I'm going to say it again too, Tatiana Maslany is hands down one of the best Audiobook performers I've ever had the pleasure of listening to! When Katniss finally acknowledges certain events whilst in the woods of District 12, Tatiana's performance had me tear up on my bus to work (got several concerned looks from other passengers 😄)
I have never been so captured by a series as to go through all 3 back-to-back! Well done Suzanne Collins, can't wait for the prequel next year! 🥰

Beautiful.
The narration of this entire series has been flawless and I would listen to anything Tatiana Maslany produces.
When I first read this book 7 years ago, I didn't enjoy it. I thought it was slow and tedious and dragged on and on, but now I'm older and better read, I realise that that is what Katniss' life is. It's slow and painful because she feels hopeless and hates herself for all the death that has surrounded her.
She clearly has PTSD and is surrounded by people who want to use and exploit her for their own gain. Katniss Everdeen is a wonderful heroine, a flawed human being and a fighter through and through. I love this book.

Thank you Tatiana Maslany
So I have checked out the other narratives on this book and to be totally honest they lacked a lot of emotions when it come down to telling the story And THANKS TO YOU. You have brought my all time favourite movie and book to life the way you narrated the book the way you displayed so much emotions like the anger, the pain. And I loved the way yu betrayed the voices. you really did a awesome job and I am thankful you covered this book and I will be recommending your narrated books to friends I hope to see you in more books. Thanks again
