A group of total strangers, all looking to make dramatic lifestyle changes, visit an open house in hopes they are about to find their dream home. They don’t know why the old house in the little town of Scarecrow, Illinois is so attractive to them. They quickly determine the house is no home, but find they cannot leave.

The mixed group must dig into their pasts and put their differences aside to face the evil within the house. They must make harrowing decisions and heartbreaking sacrifices in order to save themselves and the ones they love from an uncertain but terrible fate.

One little girl, Rena Romero, seems to be at the center of it all. Does she hold the key to their escape? Or is it permanently hidden away by Rena’s mysterious, invisible friend Mister Secrets?

it was a pretty good book.

As a person that enjoys the writer podcast I am glad that this book keep the same vibes as the podcast. With that being said I wish the book goes in more detail on the antagonist. overall I enjoyed it

An old fashion scary

I use headphones while listening to my books so I can clean house at the same time. I was taking a break sitting on my couch alone in the house. I hadn’t realized how deep into the book I was till my husband came into the back door to have lunch. Every nerve in my body screamed the same time I did.
No foul language, love scenes. Just good ole’ fashion creepy

I love The Warning Woods podcast so getting to listen to Miles narrate a super long story was a dream come true. Fantastic story that kept me on the edge of my seat!
