Publisher's summary

Welcome to the North Pole, the town where Christmas is everyone’s job.

Jayne Frost is a lot of things. Winter elf, Jack Frost's daughter, Santa Claus's niece, heir to the Winter Throne, and soon to be newlywed.

Now that she and fiancé Sinclair (and their cats, Spider and Sugar) have moved back to the North Pole, they’re firmly entrenched in planning their wedding. With Jayne’s royal heritage, it’s a major undertaking.

And while Jayne is trying to organize the myriad details, Sinclair is taking the necessary classes to learn how to be a royal and adjust to his impending new life as Prince Consort. But with too much assistance from her well-meaning mother and aunt, Jayne quickly gets overwhelmed.

Sinclair suggests calling a friend to help, the ever-resourceful Birdie Caruthers. Jayne does, and Birdie is thrilled to pitch in. Not long after she arrives, however, the trio discovers the most terrible thing in the wedding carriage.

Will this dreadful discovery derail the wedding? Or can they solve the problem in time to make it to the altar unscathed? Make no bones about it, this is some serious trouble.

Cozy and Lighthearted

If you're looking for an easy listen with lovable characters, the Jayne Frost series is for you. I loved this final book, especially with Byrdie making her way to the North Pole. I missed her in the last one! Anyway, this book and Hollis McCarthy are nothing but cozy and fun. If Nitzche is thinking with a hammer, Jayne Frost is thinking with a Dr Pepper donut.

great ending to this spin-off series

Yay! Great ending to a really fun series! Not going to give away any spoilers because you just have to start at the beginning but suffice it to say that this series came at exactly the right time and it was perfect for the holidays. The mystery was well done in this one, but I loved that the wedding was just as big a part of this story--it's one of the things this series has been building towards. I love Jayne and Sin together and their cats are great! And Birdie to the rescue--yay! I was so glad she was a large part of this book. I wasn't so sure about her when she was first introduced, but she has definitely become one of my favorite characters. And I love this version of Jack Frost because he is usually depicted as a powerful and not so nice guy and I was in the mood for a Jack Frost who is a true family guy. If you're looking for a lighthearted cozy mystery, this is the series for you.

A wonderful end to the series

Miss Frost Says I Do and Spider Too is book 7 in the Jayne Frost series. This is the final book of the series.

In this book, we see Jayne struggling with the stress of wedding planning. She and Sinclair call in reinforcements, in the form of their friend Birdie from Nocturne Falls, to help organize everything and to act as a buffer against Jayne's well intentioned mom & aunt who have visions far exceeding what Jayne wants. Of course, no Jayne Frost book is complete without a mystery so they end up having to solve a murder along the way.

I loved this book and the entire series. I actually happened upon Miss Frost Solves a Cold Case, book 1, as well as the rest of the series in the included with my membership catalog of Audible and thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did because I hadn't heard of the author before so these books weren't even on my radar otherwise. A couple of books into this series, I discovered that this the series is actually a spin off from another series the author wrote called Nocturne Falls. Of course, after meeting many of the characters from the town in these books, I decided that I have to read that entire series too. I've already listened to book 1 and will be binging that entire series in the coming month.

This series has a lot of humor in it. I found myself laughing out loud with each book. It had a lot of good moments that made me smile like a loon, and it also had some really great and fun mysteries. I really liked that with these books, I was able to work through the clues to solve the crimes along with the characters and the solutions weren't obvious. There were different possibilities and once it was solved, it all made sense. I really got invested in the town and the characters. I really loved that the main character was Jack Frost's daughter, heir to the Winter Throne, and also Santa's niece.

The whole series was read by the same narrator. She did a good job. There was one character voice, Juniper's, that I wasn't totally fond of but the rest were good. I really enjoyed being able to know the characters by voice since they were the same in each book.

I highly recommend this series. Even though I listened to the audiobooks, I am planning to get physical copies of the books to add to my home library.

Amazing Wrap Up!

Such a clever, well-written, and well-narrated series - I will miss Jayne and her friends!
If you see this review and wonder if you should listen to the series- I say YES!
I am not typically a fantasy or mystery book fan, but I came across this series suggested on a fan site. It is so clever and fun - I couldn't listen fast enough! I was listening every chance I could.
Fun characters and the mystery theme ties each plot together.
Highly recommend as a fun, light-hearted listen - that you will find yourself invested in before you know it!

Love this series!

this whole series is a must read if you love the Nocturn Falls and Shadowvale series. Or, if you love cats, Dr. Pepper, sweets or handsome Necromancers! Another hit by one of the Fab 13 PWF Authors.
