Publisher's Summary

Jayne Frost is a lot of things. Winter elf, Jack Frost's daughter, Santa Claus's niece, heir to the Winter Throne and now...private investigator. Sort of.

When the Sandman comes to Santa's Workshop, the shop Jayne manages, to do his first ever book signing, it's a major event. He's kind of a supernatural celebrity and she needs to keep him happy.

All is well until trouble shows up at the party thrown in his honor. Trouble in the form of Luna Nyx, the Mistress of Nightmares and his creepy counterpart. The Sandman's assistant says Luna is dangerous, and Jayne believes it when her dreams turn dark.

Can Jayne keep the Sandman safe from this gothic goddess? Or will Luna's threats put them both to sleep for good?

Another five star winner!!!!!

this is book three in the Jayne Frost books. This was just as great as the first two and all the other Nocturne books. I am so glad i found this author. She is totally "the bomb." This time Jayne had to save the Sand man. With help from her friends and her men, she solved the mystery of what was going on with the Sandman and the dreams they were having and when he went missing, I look forward to the next book. My only negative thing is i wish she could pick between Cooper and Grayson. My pick is Grayson. But i am a vampire girl myself. Love her cat too.

Our Favorite Supernatural Super Sleuth Is Back....

….. For another chilling mystery that's giving Jayne nightmares!

While this story is more of the same, fans of the Jayne Frost series will certainly not be disappointment. There's new characters, world building, surprising twist, and a brand new mystery to solve. The best part, we get more interaction with Spider, the most adorable talking cat! Grayson and Cooper are still competing for Jayne's affections, but this takes place in the background and their relationship development is not the focus in this story.

Hollis McCarthy delivers another amazing performance! There's lots of characters in this series, and Hollis does a great job with them all. She makes it easy to recognize and distinguish between the different characters, It's always a pleasure listening to Hollis narrate.

I really enjoyed this latest addition to the series and realize this is not a PNR; however, my romantic at heart self is ready for Jayne to choose either Grayson or Cooper. Kudos Kristen and Hollis for a job well done! Looking forward to the next story in either series.

I love these Nocturne Falls books!

The characters are fun and interesting and the author keeps the story intriguing ! It is light enough not to be too serious yet enough mystery to stay focused!

I like the author and the book but the narrator uses a whiny voice for Miss Frost which is annoying

I really love this series!

This is the 3rd book in the series and they just keep getting better! I really enjoyed this story. Jayne is getting settled into Nocturne Falls and being the manger of the toy store when her father tells her that Tempus Sanders aka the Sandman has written a book, and they want to launch it in her store. Hopefully nothing will go wrong when he arrives, but of course something does. Hopefully Jayne can fix it with the help of Greyson and Cooper! I can't wait for the next book since Mrs. Painter left us with quite an ending!! I really enjoy Hollis McCarthy's reading of this story, it's nice to have a voice to such a great character!

Elf voice

Loved 1 & 2 but for some reason Jaynes voice more elfie high almost made me stop listening plus the breaths between speaking were very loud. Narrator did great job on the other two books but this one made it difficult to really listen to story. I think the all voices got mixed up at one point it was a little distracting. I will give one more book a try and hopefully I can listen to story. Love the story lines.

Not as good as the others

While I really enjoyed the previous books in this series, this one wasn't nearly as good. Jayne was a lot more childish and very quick to judge based on (is it right to say?) species. Unlike the other books, it was very clear who the bad guy in this one is from very early on and I really didn't like the inability of EVERY OTHER CHARACTER to see it. It just didn't seem realistic (yeah, I know, fantasy, but that doesn't mean the charters can't act like adults with good deduction skills - especially the police). It's also starting to bother me that Jayne is stringing the two guys along with no development in either relationship.

I did go through these books one after other so maybe I'm just getting bored of this type of book (light and fun, but without much substance).

The narrator was great as always. No complaints there.

💘 Nocturnal Falls

I love the Nocturnal Falls series. This story as well as all the rest are just light hurted and fun to listen to. Between the romances and the mysteries, the stories these are just great for that needed downtime that you get.

Love Miss Frost and Hollis McCarthy

Any additional comments?

I love Kristen Painters' Jayne Frost in her Nocturne Falls Mysteries, and Hollis McCarthy does an excellent job narrating.

There is no doubt when Jayne is speaking (or thinking) and when any of her friends are, particularly Cooper or Greyson.

Nocturne Falls is a small town in Georgia, where they celebrate Halloween 365 days a year; Jayne runs the local Santa's Workshop Store. But Jayne is more than a store manager, she's The Winter Princess; daughter to Jack Frost, niece to Santa.

As the heiress to the Winter Elves throne, its amazing the number of adventures (and misadventures) she falls into.

You'll love how she Saves the Sandman, and Nocturne Falls.

Another great visit to Nocturne Falls

This is the third book in the Jayne Frost series. They take places in Nocturne Falls but are different from the books in the Nocturne Falls series. This series stars Jayne Frost, Winter Elf, Winter Princess and Santa Claus’ niece. She is sent to the family store in Nocturne Falls to investigate members of staff that have gone missing in unusual circumstances. After solving the mystery she stays on managing the shop and living in Nocturne Falls.
The beauty of these books is that while they are different from the Nocturne Falls series, they still include the usual Nocturne Falls characters and places.
The Sandman and his assistant Olive are in town to promote his new children’s story through Santa’s Workshop (Jayne’s shop.) You would imagine that sleeping in the same building as the Sandman would promote peaceful sleep with wonderful dreams, but for Jayne this isn’t the case. Buttercup and Juniper tell Jayne of their amazing dreams full of peace and beauty but Jayne is having horrific nightmares that have her waking full of fear.
This is a well built, fun, bit spooky, supernatural, cozy mystery that has a well paced build up. I really did enjoy it. I have been careful to avoid spoilers but suffice to say there are surprises and adventure galore.

Spider and Jayne

Jayne Frost is back along with a few friends including the adorable Spider, her talking cat. Not only is she dating two of the best-looking men in town but she’s also right at the heart of yet another crime. Who knew a winter elf could have so much fun?

I am a little addicted to Spider. Jayne is great fun, but the cat is my favourite character. This story is yet another easy read mystery with a light and breezy feel. The magic and mystery are charming as are the characters. I must admit that I can’t wait to find out who Jayne chooses out of her eager dates but my money is on the vampire.
