Wonderful

Beautiful immersive sound! Short story, very cute and meaningful. I loved it. Just have to get used to the accents if you’re American :)

What a puzzle

I laughed & cried. It is a wonderful tale of curiousness & resolve and if two personalities coming together like lost pieces.

Fun quick listen but hard to follow

I liked this book, the narrators were amazingly talented! However I think this book would have been easier to follow if I was actually reading it.

I get it, but just found it ok

Found the performances far better than the story. The story was cute and I appreciate the genre- bending nuance, but I ended the audiobook feeling meh.

An UNEXPECTED+SURPRISINGLY FUN Romp of a Tale

An unexpected, surprisingly FUN, quasi-comedic romp around the country, on a WILD XXXX CHASE!

For most women who have an inner LOVE of Shoes, We can attest to the fact that shoes can dramatically change the look of an outfit, but the true magic is that they also hold the power to instantaneously change the mood and bearing of the woman who is wearing them.

An unexpected, and rather laughable pairing of two individuals with polar opposite personalities, who end up on a light hearted journey of 48hours that holds the power to transform their lives.

While cute, fun, and on its surface frivolous, this tale hides some actual deep undercurrents like love, loss, disappointment, abandonment, and isolation, just to name a few. You might start out laughing, only to find yourself contemplating deeper unexpected thoughts about life, love, guilt, and loss, only to in the end, close these pages wearing a smile.

DEFINITELY A HIDDEN GEM IN AUDIBLE’S DATABASE!

I want to suggest potential Listeners try to stick things out, and not give up on the story until at least AFTER the 1st PAIR, (approximately Scene 11), Scene 11 might sound like a long time, but the entire story moves at a fast pace. By that point the interplay between characters matches up much better and they tend to stop speaking on top of each other, and instead they speak to each other. However, if You don’t like the writing/acting style or storyline, well, by that pony you’ll definitely know for sure. either way, Good Luck!

Presumptuous of me, but after reading other comments by those either confused, and/or put off by the following items, I thought that I would try to help prevent future bad reviews by providing potential Listeners an Explanation & Warning about a few issues as follows below.

• HEADS-UP!
The format of this Audible Original is initially from two individual persons perspectives, with things happening for BOTH People at the same time, from two different people’s views, at two different locations in the City. What is happening is FAST PACED, and IN A RUSH, as BOTH PEOPLE are literally experiencing their day and physically hurdling towards each other….
through traffic, through busy streets and sidewalks, through crowded buildings , etc, UNTIL BOTH individual People FINALLY meet/physically and literally COLLIDE/RUN INTO each other.

• NARRATION:
The Narration is done with, either intentionally or not, what some may view as rather heavy United Kingdom accents. As such, some people may find it difficult to follow and/or understand what is being said. Sadly, there isn’t much that can be done to resolve this concern. If such things are an issue for you, then IMHO just skip this one, as you’ll only end up frustrated and writing what would be an undeserved bad review.

I do not know what it is called, but this is definitely a writing/performance style. The British Comedy where the pushy loud female is teamed up with the laid back quiet male, and she bullies him into reluctantly participating in an adventure/mystery. They go on a romp of an adventure where their polar opposite personalities constantly clash. Her abrasive personality throughout gets them into various unnecessary, funny, or at times difficult situations. Somehow they look passed each other’s individual failings to see the true heart of the person beneath. Until in the end they solve the mystery and come to find out they are both far more compatible or alike than they ever believed, the end.

Hope the above cleared things up for some people prior to Your listening, and that the above will make things easier for you or help you to avoid unnecessary frustration! Good Luck!
