Publisher's summary

New York Times Best Seller

This official Minecraft novel is an action-packed thriller! When a new virtual-reality version of the game brings her dreams - and doubts - to life, one player must face her fears.

Bianca has never been good at following the plan. She's more of an act-now, deal-with-the-consequences-later kind of person. But consequences can't be put off forever, as Bianca learns when she and her best friend, Lonnie, are in a terrible car crash. Waking up in the hospital, almost paralyzed by her injuries, Bianca is faced with questions she's not equipped to answer. She chooses instead to try a new virtual-reality version of Minecraft that responds to her every wish, giving her control over a world at the very moment she thought she'd lost it. As she explores this new realm, she encounters a mute, glitching avatar she believes to be Lonnie.

Bianca teams up with Esme and Anton, two kids who are also playing on the hospital server, to save her friend. But the road to recovery isn't without its own dangers. The kids are swarmed by mobs seemingly generated by their fears and insecurities, and now Bianca must deal with the uncertainties that have been plaguing her: Is Lonnie really in the game? And can Bianca help him return to reality?

It was a good book but it made me cry a lot

It has a good meaning . And I really think it is a source of entertainment during COVID nineteen

Meh.

I did really enjoy the overall connection between Bianca and Lonnie, but the fact that Esse acted pretty self-entitled and Ant (or whatever his name is) was just obsessed with basketball and red stone or whatever didnt help. Also, the chapters felt really stretched out, especially considering 3/4 of the chapters was basically trying to get blaze rods. I just feel this book could’ve been way better in terms of story.

A little too dramatic

The reader was a little too dramatic for my taste. I kept saying Bruh every 30 seconds. The book was great though. Notch would be proud.

Very emtional and well written.

Although this is a bit underage for me (I like to read books with more sophisticated vocabulary so I learn more), I really enjoyed this read. Really got my heart into it. The ending is what got me the most.

Anything Higher Than 3 Stars Is Fake Sorry.

This book was just kind of meh. It had a decent plot and meaning which I could get behind. But why did it have to be a Minecraft book? What I mean by that is I got this book thinking it was gonna be a continuation from the 1st and i was dead wrong. We're set in the real world with this book and VR is the magic window out of reality. I'm so confused why they did this and why it wasn't connected to the 1st book at all. The biggest let down for me is this isn't Minecraft. There's Minecraft mechanics and Mobs but you can tell the author did very little research on the game and wanted to make their own SAO story instead. I think that's why it would have done better as an original story with some made up VR game in the Hospital instead of just calling it VR Minecraft with Mods. Mainly the biggest thing I can say is if you do end up listening to the book don't see it as a Minecraft Book. Enjoy the few sound effects and music from the game but that's about it. It's at best a solid 3 out of 5 book. But now that I'm done with it I'll probably never listen to it ever again. I just hope the next books are better and. not set in the real world.

Great book

Good,I love this book because it has so many fun twists and turns , the only two things that kinda bug me are that it gets really sad at the end, and that there isn’t a sequel. I would live to hear how Bianca copes with lani being gone, and all the adventures she has with her new friends in Minecraft.
