Publisher's summary

Once upon a time, a brave knight rescued a young man. Unfortunately, he then spent the next few years bossing the young man around and treating him like a child.

Milo has been burying himself at Chi an Mor, hiding from the wreckage of his once promising career and running from a bad relationship that destroyed what little confidence he had. Niall, his big brother’s best friend, has been there for him that entire time. An arrogant and funny man, Niall couldn’t be any more different from the shy and occasionally stuttering Milo, which has never stopped Milo from crushing wildly on the man who saved him.

However, just as Milo makes the decision to move on from his hopeless crush, he and Niall are thrown into close contact, and for the first time ever, Niall seems to be returning his interest. But it can never work. How can it when Milo always needs rescuing?

From the best-selling author of the Mixed Messages series comes a story about a man who needs to write his own happily ever after.

This is the second book in the Finding Home series, but it can be listened to as a standalone.

Content warning: There are descriptions of domestic abuse in this book.

Such a great story

I loved the story and it was made so much better with the dimension added by the narration by Joel Leslie. The characters are well written and the narration brings them into full living color. Don't miss this one.

Good story

A good story with a seamless continuation from Oz. I’m not sure this book would do well as a stand-alone...
Great narration, with the characters voice being true to their appearance in Oz.

Amazing story with the perfect narrator.

"Real love goes both ways. It gives back what you give to it tenfold. I migh rescue you sometimes, but I know that when I need you you'll rescue me back. I love you, so that means I want the absolute best for you, but I'd also hope that you'd want the same for me."

When Lily Morton and Joel Leslie comes together it always more then awesome! I wanted to read this series so much, so when I got the chance for the audiobook for Milo, I immediately said yes. And now, that I listened to it, I say thousand more yeses.

There should be classes where Joel Leslie teaches other narrators how to do it this amazing. I mean he is the best narrator I ever listened to - always perfect voices for the stoies and he plays every little detail so well.

I don't know how Lily does it, but every character she writes can be easily fallen in love with.
I fallen in love with Milo and Niall so easily, and hearing them by Joel Leslie was amazing. The voices were just perfect. I love how the narrator gives life to these adorable characters, they're like real persons. The story is so real and with the audio you can so easily picture them in the real life, like you can really meet them on the street and hug them and tell them you love them.

"I will love you right down to my bones until the day we die. We'll argue and fall out and I'm sure at times we really won't like each other, but I will be your fucking cheerleader for the rest of your life because you're epic and I want the whole world to know that shit."

Milo and Niall's relationship was so good. They were meant to be, and I really liked the way their relationship changed and how they fallen for each other. The romance was really good, but it's not a surprise from Lily Morton, just as the erotica! So hot scenes! And with Joel's voice...holyhelllll.
Milo and Niall's first were so so good, I have no words.

I can't wait to read/listen to the other books in the series too. I'm so excited about Gideon, I really really want to know his HEA. I fallen for him too in this book. He was a great brother after all and a great friend too.

"...home is ryding by the side of me."

Highly recommend this!

lovely

Milo's story is very different than Oz's, but a good one nonetheless, and Joel Leslie voices both Milo and Niles well. Solid HEA.

4.5 stars

I think I just want to live in Lily Morton’s head. It’s filled with funny stories, beautiful locations, and dreamy men. This book was no exception. I didn’t like it quiet as much as Oz (probably because it lacked as much Oz himself lol), but I still really loved it. It started out so heartbreaking, but there was so much strength, growth, love, and of course the trademark witty banter that it quickly became so much more.

Enjoyable story

I really enjoyed the second book in the Finding Home series. Milo and Niall have known each other for a long time since Niall is Milo's older brother's best friend. Niall has always been a little protective of Milo, seeing him as a little brother. When a family emergency brings Milo and Niall together to look after their friend's little daughter, their friendship turns into more. But Niall's friends with benefits show up and that throws a wrench into their relationship. Plus Milo's past shows up in an unexpected way. This was a fun story filled with humor and a little angst. I love Joel Leslie's accent. He did a wonderful job with the narration of this story.

Beautiful and Snarky Romance

Lily Morton is the queen of snark and banter. This is only the second book I’ve read by her, and it had me laughing out loud and completely wrapped up in the story. This is the second book in the Finding Home series, and although it can be read as a standalone, I highly suggest reading “Oz” first since there are overlapping characters.

Milo is a shy and soft-spoken young man with a painful past. Living and working at the Chi an Mor estate has given him the stability he’s needed to overcome the abuse he suffered at his ex-boyfriend’s hands. Niall, one of the estate managers at Ch an Mor, and a family friend of Milo’s, knows there is so much more to the timid, young man. When an unfortunate accident takes Oz and Silas away from Chi an Mor, Milo and Niall find themselves rooming together while taking care of a baby. This closeness is exactly what they need for a romance to begin to bloom between the two of them.

There were a few plot lines in this book, but they were all well done and interlaced with each other seamlessly. The pacing was well done, and all the events of the book moved naturally from moment to moment. I absolutely adored the character growth that Milo and Niall experienced, and the magnetic attraction they had for each other. There was plenty of snark, clever banter, and really hot and sexy bedroom scenes. There was honestly not one part of this book that I did not look and did not enjoy.

Joel Leslie narrated the audiobook and did superb job, like always. His English accents are incredibly sexy, and each character’s voice was unique and consistent. I’m an American listener, and I had absolutely no trouble following along. The audiobook production was high quality and there were no quality issues that would jar a listener out of the story. In fact, I could barely stop listening to this audiobook because I was so engrossed in the story.

I can’t recommend this book—heck, this entire series—enough. If you want witty dialogue, sexy characters, and tender, heart-melting romance, then this is definitely the book for you.

Milo & Niall

I loved Milo and Niall’s story! Ive been loving the Finding Home series and I was so excited when Milo came up in audio. Joel Leslie has done such an amazing job narrating Lily’s men for me. He did an amazing job with Milo and he drew me into the story right from the beginning. My heart went out to Milo and I found myself wanting to just wrap him up in a big hug. I loved seeing him grow and find himself throughout the story. I loved Niall too. His devotion to Milo jumped off the page at you, and I love how he encouraged Milo to spread his wings and fly. This was a fantastic friends to lovers story, with a dose of forced proximity which pushed their friendship into the next level. Their story had a bit of forced proximity, great humor, sexy times and a great plot line that kept me intrigued the whole way through. I can’t wait for Gideon’s audio!

Messy but full of banter

So while I did love the MCs, I still found their relationship to be a bit problematic and messy 🤷🏽‍♀️ sometimes I’m into that though so this story still worked for me. Mainly it was the narrator that really stood out. Reading it myself previously didn’t really get me the right tone of snark and dry banter like Joel Leslie’s narration. This edition the the authors catalog is a solid one. Fans of Morton’s previous work will love this and as for someone try her work for the first time, as long as you like some dry humor, snark, witty banter, Messy relationships, & HEA, you’ll love it too.
