Publisher's summary

Gran used to say that a strong woman looks a challenge in the eye and gives it a wink. To be sure, flirting with challenges is a terrible idea. Ask me how I know.

All Bree really wants is to bury her head in the sand somewhere in the south of France while a hot pool boy rubs lotion on her back. Instead, Bree gets blackmailed by the Council of Savannah into a job she doesn’t want—though it does take her to France. They need her to bring a witch back to Savannah for a trial that Bree is sure is a load of hooey.

But not just any witch. The first one. The oldest one. The one who makes a T-rex look like he’s howling about a sore tooth. The one who makes the Wicked Witch of the West look like your sweet old nanny, the one who...well, you get the picture.

Bree’s job? Find her. Befriend her. And convince her to come back to Savannah for safekeeping. But someone else has gotten a head start, and their reasons for tracking down the miserable old witch are far worse than the council's reasons.

None other than a sexy, growly blacksmith with pretty eyes who makes Bree’s panties melt even though she knows he isn’t for her. And he is looking for the same miserable old lady.

Throw in a lovesick siren and a slew of new problems, and you’ve got Bree’s next adventure busting at the seams. And no, it isn’t because her pants are too small.

Tons of twists

The rag tag band of paranormals are taking the fight across the ocean. Introducing new characters and a bunch of surprises I wasn’t really ready for! This boon was amazing. I could not stop listening. The narrators nailed it and i just wish there was more from Crash’s point of view. This story leaves you wanting the next book stat!

Superb!

I absolutely loved this audiobook! I didn’t realize the audiobook would be dual narrated until I started the audiobook. It was a pleasant surprise.
James Fouhey is a new to me narrator and I thought he did wonderful portraying Crash.
Lauren Fortgang audio performance was fabulous. Together they brought the story to life and elevated it. The variety of tones and inflections used were great.
The story is so good! I enjoyed escaping into this world and getting lost in it with Bree, Robert, Crash and the rest of the gang. It’s a whirlwind of emotions and it’s really a unputdownable audiobook.

The story continues to unfold

The Savannah crew goes to France! Bree and the gang continue on their adventures to protect the first witch. Will everyone make it through all of the rigorous trials to find her!? Will she let herself be protected!?

This sequel in the forty series is slightly more predictable (on the nose) than the rest of the series. I am hoping for more surprises in the rest of the series.

Both narrators did a great job bringing the characters to life!

I was given a free copy of this audiobook for my honest review.

Awesome series

I love how there's a cliffhanger at the end of the book. It makes you want to know what happens next.
