Even better the second time!

I’ll admit that I read Recurve some time ago...long enough that I had forgotten most of the details. I really enjoyed it back then (because Shannon Mayer is a favorite of mine), but getting to experience it “new” again as an audiobook was fantastic! The narrator does her job in such a way that I quickly forgot I was even listening to an audiobook. The story just unfolded in my mind. And what a story... Without giving too much away, this is a beautifully woven tale of redemption, betrayal, love, loss, heroism in the face of fear, and magic. I can’t wait to start the next one.

Amazing, immersing world!

So excited to jump into yet another wonderful magic filled world from Shannon Mayer! Every detail is thought out. Keeps you in the edge of your seat. You can't help but feel for her characters. Add to that Lauren Fortgang's wonderful voicing talent, and you are in for a great ride!

The story was amazing and I couldn't stop listening to it. The narration was excellent. This is the first audio book for me and at first I thought her voice was too soothing but as I finished the first chapter I thought her voice fit well. I can't wait to get through the rest of the series!

interesting story

This book has a good story line although things feel a bit rushed through the action portion, a somewhat happy ending and a cliff hanger leaves the reader waiting for the next book

Keep me interested.

Keep me interested through out the entire book. Shannon Mayer is a fantastic writer. I shall continue with this series.
