The Vigilante Life of Scott McKenzie

Scott McKenzie’s birthday is the first number pulled in the draft of 1969. The next thing he knows, he is in Vietnam, badly wounded. After the hell of a yearlong stay at a VA hospital, Scott tries to rebuild his life but descends in alcohol and drug abuse. When he dies of an overdose, he wakes up on his grandparent’s couch, still wounded from the war. Eventually, Scott decides to use his unusual time travel to stop violence before it happens. No serial killer is safe, because Scott knows when and where they will strike, and he will be there waiting.

The Reset Life of Cassandra Collins

Cassandra Collins hit the birth lottery - she is the daughter of the wealthiest family in Middle Falls. And yet, at 18, she is forced to make a choice; to strike out on her own to attend the college she wants or choose a life of sheltered safety. As so many would, she chooses safety but always wonders what her life would have been like. At the end of a safe, contented life, she passes away, then opens her eyes on the cusp of that same decision.

The Tribulations of Ned Summers

He isn’t arrested for the crime, but the town convicts him with public opinion. Ned moves out of town and lives a hermit’s life in the forest. When he grows old and dies, he opens his eyes on the day before that fateful date. Can Ned unwind the mystery and stop the murder?

A Great Series

I love the whole concept and execution of this series of books. Every life has its own lesson to be learned. I'm intrigued as to how the writer is able to have us engaged in these characters even down to the daily routines of their lives. This is difficult for a writer to do. I feel that the narrator does a great job in keeping a calm and wholesome tone even when dealing with gruesome themes, I think it is important to the overall spiritual meaning of the books. I feel that because I've read several of the first books in this series I began to drag through these three books, especially the second. I don't even remember the second book and will have to go back to reread/ listen. Of all three in this group I enjoyed the last the most,.though the first had quite a bit of action to enjoy. I feel like I'm done with this series of books for now but could lick them up again after some time.

Extraordinary narrations.

Extraordinary narrations and extremely well-written stories. Perfectly enjoyable and perhaps the best time-travel trilogy by this author thus far.

So Good!

I have enjoyed all the Middle Falls Time Travel books so much! I can't say enough good things about this series. Shawn Inmon captures the personalities of each person he writes about and they are all different individuals. He does a great job describing each scene to where you are so involved in it all. I highly recommend this series and so glad they are bundled together to save on the credits. What a deal!!

Can’t get enough

I think almost everyone of us have thought about what we would do if we could live life over again. At what point would we start over if we could choose, but based on these books we probably don’t have a choice. I have now completed the first nine books and have enjoyed each one. Now you will have to excuse me as book ten is waiting.

If you are a time travel nerd lord, this is it!

It took me a long time to utilize my audible membership. Until I found the Middle Falls Time Travel series, I felt like I was constantly underusing my membership. Prior to Shawn Inmon's audio books, I could only listen to non-fiction. But once I found Middle Falls book 1, I went on to purchase 13 of the books in total. I love the time travel element. The author keeps changing the story lines. Every possibility of time travel outcomes is mentioned. The narrarators are awesome.

What I realized makes great audio books is easy listening. Not having to concentrate on every sentence. If I miss something, I don't have to rewind every time. I can do my cooking and cleaning while still listening to the books. These books might be in the light reading / listening category, but that is what works for me when I am doing something else. If I have to listen to a literary masterpiece, then I would probably have to lie in bed and not do anything else. And I just don't have time for that type of David Copperfield allocation.

Other books of high value are Replay by Ken Grimwood and Jumper by Steven Gould. After I read those two books, it took me two years to find Shawn Inmon's books. So when I did, I gobbled them up fast. If you loved the Middle Falls books, please mention what other time travel / philosophy / superpower books were at the top of your list, because I am always searching. Honorable mention to Stephen Laberge's books on Lucid Dreaming. Yoga: Immortality And Freedom by Mircea Eliade. Journey to Ixtlan by Carlos Casteneda.

I love the Middle Falls Time Travel series!

I've been reading and listening to the series in sequence, and each of the stories has held my interest to the final sentence. I especially love the Author's Notes at the end.

Thank you, Shawn.

Best series ever!

I fell in love with this series of books immediately! I really want a follow up on Micheal Hollister though. I hated him during the first book and didn’t want a redemption for him ever. But then his story ultimately became my favorite to date of the series. Having said that, I cannot handle the cadence the reader has in book 8 for Cassandra. I had to stop and start that one a few different times to give myself a break from her voice. But I think that is the only criticism I have!
