A pleasant sunny day ends horribly with a sudden onslaught of glowing-eyed monsters. Caught flatfooted and unprepared, Liam Burton, a Metallurgist with no skill in combat, finds himself in a new world instead of dying to claws and fangs.

Lost deep in the forests of this unknown planet, his only ally is a fellow transferee from Earth currently stuck in the form of a dark purple furred panther. The two of them are faced with surviving the wilds together.

With only a request from a Goddess pointing the way forward, Liam and his companion must set forth on a mission that takes them straight into a centuries-old conflict between two warring factions.

Ms. Panther adds to the chaos the moment she can change forms, looking at him like he's her favorite cat toy.
