Publisher's summary

Cash Evans knows exactly what he wants for Christmas. Too bad he can't have her.

The infamous tattoo artist's been watching geeky Bailey Cooper for months, but that's all he'll ever do: watch. Bailey's too sweet, too smart, too good for the likes of him, and he knows it. So Cash keeps his distance . . . until a Christmas miracle makes him Bailey's boss.

Socially awkward Bailey learned long ago that men just aren't worth the hassle. Take her new boss, Cash: he's a brooding beast who avoids her like the plague, but he also fixes her plumbing, helps the homeless, and offers Bailey a place to stay for Christmas.

She's never met anyone so confusing—or so impossible to resist. And the more Bailey learns about Cash and his demons, the more she thinks it's time to stop fighting.

Contains mature themes.

No snow for these hotcakes!

There will be no white Christmas for Cash and Bailey. They are too hot and all of the snow will melt!!! Are you kidding?!

Cash is this hot shot tattoo artist who hates frilly coffee, but requests the coffee shop where Bailey works just to see her. Bailey quits the coffee shop because her boss is a butthead and tries to get her to kick out her homeless friend from the warmth of the shop. So Cash puts up Bailey's friend in a hotel, and offers her a job. Bit of a white knight complex, but I'll forgive it because Cash was working through some pretty big trauma.

Cash puts Bailey on a bit of a pedestal, and she squashes so satisfyingly. They have a really cool tattoo scene. I could gush. But it's good. Quick and sweet and hot.

Cute story but didn’t like the narration

This was a typical Talia Hibbert romance, which I always enjoy. Perhaps a bit cheesier than some of her others, but overall enjoyable. I just couldn’t get into the narration. Everything was weirdly high pitched and whiny.

Very lovely story

As usual, Talia Hibbert delivers a charming love story. I’ve read most of her work, and she consistently writes quality romance.

The Scottish accent

It was ok, not much to report, probably wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Didn’t like the Scottish reader

I Love Talia, But

this story it just wasn't for me the narrator she just did not take me there I don't know if it was her voice or something it just the narrator didn't do a good job for me so yeah and then this with her not doing a good job then it caused the story to suffer a lot I just was ready for cash and Bailey to get done and I literally used it as background noise it just could have been better you know yeah I didn't I mean honestly cash and Bailey could work could have really worked with a different narrator the story grabbed me in the beginning but by the time they was pushing John into a hotel room I stopped listening and just used it as noise

Xmas romances shouldn’t have so much angst

I might have liked this a bit more with a different narrator or with duet narration for Cash’s voice.
This narrator has a Reese Witherspoon or Jennifer Tilly voice that reminds me of Moaning Myrtle in
Harry Potter.

Of course, even with different narration, this is a hard sell as holiday romance. With a tattooed beefcake, this could have been a naughty nutcracker or sugar and spice nice. Instead, this is a slow burn to a measly two scenes. In between, there’s a lot of drama and angst involving both of them.
Domestic violence factors in big time, even though it’s in the past.
Overall, this brought me down more than it picked me up.
