Publisher's Summary

"The perfect feel-good read." (Emily Henry, number one New York Times best-selling author of People We Meet on Vacation)

Britta didn’t plan on falling for her personal trainer, and Wes didn’t plan on Britta. Plans change, and it's unclear if love, career, or both will meet them at the finish line.

Britta Colby works for a lifestyle website, and when tasked to write about her experience with a hot new body-positive fitness app that includes personal coaching, she knows it's a major opportunity to prove she should write for the site full-time.

As CEO of the FitMi Fitness app, Wes Lawson finally has the financial security he grew up without, but despite his success, his floundering love life and complicated family situation leaves him feeling isolated and unfulfilled. He decides to get back to what he loves - coaching. Britta’s his first new client, and they click immediately.

As weeks pass, she’s surprised at how much she enjoys experimenting with her exercise routine. He’s surprised at how much he looks forward to talking to her every day. They convince themselves their attraction is harmless, but when they start working out in person, Wes and Britta find it increasingly challenging to deny their chemistry and maintain a professional distance.

Wes isn’t supposed to be training clients, much less meeting with them, and Britta’s credibility will be sunk if the lifestyle site finds out she’s practically dating the fitness coach she’s reviewing. Walking away from each other is the smartest thing to do, but running side by side feels like the start of something big.

Just like a Curvy Girl

This book makes me happy, the romance was great. but the lead falling back in love with herself is most inspiring. Thank You for this one!

Awesome

Didn’t really know what to expect, but I loved it from the very beginning!! It was just a good story, funny at times, sad at times and a little sex at times! Perfect read on a dark dreary day! The narrator was fantastic!

This Book Inspired Me💗

I rarely post a book review, but this time I wanted to applaud the writer! I am a plus size woman and I really loved reading a story where the heroin was big, beautiful and strong. Of course she had doubts about herself and experienced disappointment, but that made her real and relatable. This character was smart, talented and funny, but also feminine, sexy, alluring. I listened while doing the housework and while exercising and I felt motivated about my own journey toward appreciating my body and making peace with getting healthier. Thank you for this story!

Exceptionally relatable.

An exceptional book, book read, and listen. Very believable and relatable. I was happy that it was not totally a racial issue, but could have easily manifested, the writer was very intentional and careful with the wording and terms. Wes and Britt were very "needy". They were both intelligent, but I am not sure how Wes recognized love after a painful childhood. Brit was needy because of the exact opposite struggle, a solid childhood with guidance, but self distortions, doubt, and insecurities. They were good for each other without lust, so I hope it lasts. I wonder if having degrees and understanding processes helped them turn their lives around, or if couples with limited exposure to formal education, yet worldly experiences could have made similar life changing decisions. I cheated and read the last chapter, then was intrigued when he told her he liked her, rather than he loved her, initially. I had to go back and finish all chapters. Worth the bazillion dollars I paid. Could not wait for the monthly credit. 100% satisfied, intrigued, and inspired by the lifelike story and presentation.

Real and Relatable

FINALLY a story I can actually connect with! This is the kind of book I’ve been waiting years to read and I’m so happy to have found it. Neither narrator did a good job at the opposite’s voice and the guy’s version of a woman’s voice was almost unbearable at times, but even that wasn’t enough to ruin this story for me. I’m so grateful to have found Denise Williams! If anyone needs my I’ll just be here looking for my own Wes <3

Fun read!

I really enjoyed this one! The story was fun, the characters are cute, and nicely fleshed out. It made me want to read more stories about the other women in Britta’s orbit!

Cute but

It kinda went down hill after the Britta chapter my interest slowed down.

Definitely a feel good story though. Love romantic comedies so this is the type of stuff I just eat up.
