An apocalyptic event by a biological attack causes life as we know it to cease to exist. The world, now in chaos, throws society into a time reminiscent of colonial America. The country, divided into domains, is controlled by different cultures from the old civilization.
Exploring the country, discovering new boundaries, and assessing the condition of what remains is only possible by frontiersmen, warriors, and soldiers. Isaiah McKenzie is a man who follows in the footsteps of a modern day Boone or Kenton. Men of this caliber are the only hope for civilization. Those that remain are forced to learn the old ways to survive in the New World.

Would you consider the audio edition of Mckenzie's New World to be better than the print version?
Absolutely, the audio version of this book really brought the characters to life in such a dynamic way. This text was meant to be read out loud because as you carefully listen to the events unfolding throughout he story it makes you feel as if you had stepped into this "New World" yourself.Who was your favorite character and why?
McKenzie because of his adventurous spirit.Which character – as performed by Harry Shaw – was your favorite?
Harry Shaw's voice brought McKenzie to life in a more realistic way for me because it made me relate to this character on a very personal level.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me consider our current modern day environment. We can't help but take for granted all of the technology and modern conveniences that we use in our daily living, many things that we feel we just can't live without. Most of these items our parents and grandparents never encountered as they were growing up. But how could we, as individuals, ultimately prepare ourselves, as well as our families, for startling life changing events that could truly rock the foundation of everything we know and believe in as human beings? This book will cause you to ponder such things.Any additional comments?
This is quite an interesting story that is action packed, full of adventure at every turn!Action Packed and Full of Adventure!

The author doesn't use conjunctions so it is worded very odd, couldn't put my finger on what was so strange, until about chapter 5. Story line doesn't jive.
Literally worst book I've ever read.
