I almost always listen to audio books at 1.15x to 1.25x speed. I read at an absurdly fast rate and get so bored waiting for the next word when I'm listening instead of reading.
I had to slow this one down, actually, because she just talked so fast and high pitched. Nearly every sentence ends in an up-swing, sounding almost like a question. My daughter's Barbie cartoons had less "cute blond voice" than this narrator. That worked for the first book, but by the middle of the second, I just couldn't take it anymore.
