This was a heartwarming, slow burn romance that didn’t take any easy roads. Very satisfying.

From start to finish, i was hooked.. Never wanted this to end! I’m in Love with all of Emily Stones books! Heather Long is amazing with her wonderful voice, so perfect for Holly! I always look for books that she narrates.
This one will make you believe in destiny!

just the right blend of sweet and melancholy

This was my first book by Emily Stone and I immediately bought another upon finishing it, which should tell you something. The writing was good, the story was engaging and believable. I really liked the pacing; so often romances are on super compressed timelines, but this one was spread over a whole year. am Also there was just the right amount of Christmas so that it felt like a touchstone without taking over the whole book. The characters felt fully formed and there were so many lovely little details that grounded everything. It's a great romance, but nothing explicit. it's fully "fade to black". I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I could not stop listening! Heart warming

Emily Stone is one of my favorite authors and Heather Long is the best narrator. This is the power duo, when I need a good audio book, these are the ones to turn too! This book brought so many emotions from happy, sad, heartbreak to hopefulness! I highly recommend this audio book!

Recommend. I connected with the characters instantly, It’s a lovely story of love, friendship, loss and the struggles life presents to every one of us. I I also do not believe in fate and maybe that’s part of the reason I enjoyed this so much. Because clearly, that notion was laughing in our face.
