The Past has returned

After the Culling, peace has returned and life at the orphanage is quiet one more. Eli finds himself investigating the mystery of a student's new Class, which seems related to the System itself, as well as dealing with the nuances of his unique relationship with the women of the school.

Great family dynamics

Slow start, especially after the way the last one ended. Built into a great story with another cliffhanger ending. I want more!

great story

that's got a great story and really deep characters I wish there was a little more action but that's my only complaint

the only thing I found annoying was the constant repetition of skills/enchantments/spells as they are cast. process can sometimes take minutes and that repetition drives me insane. outside of that the books are fantastic. missing to get better and better with every story

Damned fine arc.

Okay, what to say...
This is indeed LitRPG. Complete with harem, chewey (almost crunchy) game system stuff, and of course, violence and sex.
However, none of that is overdone to the point that it harms the story.
The characters are well made and engaging. Lots of character growth over the first three books and the story develops well.
The theme of recovery and redemption in a world devastated by the ultimate war.
How does a man go from being the most feared killing machine in a world, to a husband, father. teacher, and protector of children.
Not an easy path. come walk it with Eli, The Impaler.

Amazing 3rd book to an already amazing series!

This book has a perfect blend of real interactions, adorable slice of life, and emotional rollercoasters. The narrators show the emotions perfectly and their voices bring life to all the characters. Impatiently awaiting book four!!

Great story

Very hard to put it away. It’s that good. Had to get the next book in the series right away.

The story slaps

I love the mini romances going on especially with the kids. Young love and growing up to be amazing people. Shadow walker with a heart of gold. A lazy but hardworking green knight and one adorable star of the show.
