Publisher's summary

A sanctuary under attack. An enemy closing in. Mason Dixon is all that stands between the cryptids and extinction.

The Orchard has been a safe haven for cryptids...until now. The organization known as DEMON is on a mission to round up every last creature for terrible experiments. As the cameras roll, Mason and his team must turn to one of their most dangerous rivals - Momo, the Missouri Monster - in a last-ditch attempt at a rescue.

Little do they know something far more dangerous awaits at the refuge. An ancient creature lurks in the shadows, waiting to unleash a power greater than anything Mason’s crew has seen.

If they aren’t careful, the cryptids they fought to protect might not be the only ones facing extinction.

Ozark and it's mythos are very strange indeed!

A good story... with Cryptids? That's a recipe for Love! Add Mason Dixon and Emma to the mix, and I'm IN!!!  Mason and Emma (his trusty ally and camera crew of one), are Cryptid hunters running a YouTube channel, vloging every time they capture some skeezy, dubious video evidence! It's seriously a front, and everything thing they post is just blurry enough to obscure, but giving their followers a fun tale... just enough to visually titillate, without causing anyone to actually believe that the footage is real! Their "other" work behind the camera is what's actually real. You see, Mason and Emma's real work is to save the Cryptids! Relocating them, to save these often dangerous, endangered creatures from mankind, but also keeping humanity safe from contact with them!
In this book we learn that the monsters aren't the Gowrows or the Momo. No, the real monsters are men... mercenaries/hunters with big guns!
So get this book, or pick up the whole audio-book collection, now made even easier as these four novellas are now available in a "boxed" set!

I should know by now that I need not bother to look up the types of Cryptids that I've read about in these books, but never ever heard of before, because Eric Asher didn't just pull 'em out of his hat. He researched every one of 'em... The mythologies of the Ozarks and it's Cryptids, are very strange indeed!

I love Joel Froomkin as Mason Dixon!

I love Joel Froomkin as Mason Dixon! Joel brings the story crashing through my speakers to deliver a phenomenal experience.

The New Templars series from Eric Asher is fun and lively. I adore the quick witted characters and wild creatures in each installment. Th Gowrow's Last Stand has been by far the most action packed thrill ride - and that is saying something.
