Rockstars heartbreak

Damian had become a recluseva year ago after a tragedy in his life. Although as far os the press knew nobody truly knew why he dropped off the face of the magazine's.
Julia just returned from Australia after spending her savings going there with her boyfriend and a job, she returned heartbroken. she was lookimg for a job as a nanny. somehow she was sent to Damian for a job, he never called the agency.
theis story has a heart wrenching story line that doesn't fully come out until half way through the book.

The Rockstar and his muse

This is book 4 in the Big Bad Billionaires series. I've read/listened to a few of these books now. The ones I've read so far have been in this series and follow "The Seven." They are a group of billionaire playboys who were kidnapped as kids. Each one now is still suffering from some trauma and they're into BDSM. These men are dominant, prefer to be in control, and most often come across as alphahole jerks! Damian AKA The Rockstar is no different. Damian is floundering in his music career. Damian meets Julia and she wants to spend the night with him. Damian is too controlling to just give in that easily. The next day Julia shows up to be Damian's nanny. Damian comes up with a obscene offer for Julia to be his muse. Damian needs to be in control the whole time. It boils down to a whole lot of sex! The scene on the motorcycle comes to mind 🥵. Damian walks away easily after every time though. When Julia finally finds out Damian's secret she comes up with her own proposal, literally. Damian's secret blew my mind, however I shouldn't have been surprised. The clues were all there from the beginning, including the book cover. I maybe cut Damian some slack on his behavior then. Damian finally is ready to admit his feelings when it might be too late. This book fits in well with the others in the series.

A Surprising Parenting Story

Marrying the Billionaire Single Dad by L Steele took a turn I wasn’t expecting. On the whole is is a really smexy story about a Rock Star and Nanny, though their relationship is not initiated because she was caring for his child. A great deal of the book was reasonably predictable. I have listened to several of the author’s books recently and they all follow a certain formula. The man and woman meet, there is an unexplainable attraction which both fight, then some sort of arrangement is agreed upon. The Alphamale often offers enough money to make if difficult to impossible for the woman to refuse, and eventually a relationship develops with the characters going in kicking and screaming. This particular alphamale’s parenting story was a surprise. I enjoyed the ride with this couple and the banter between the Seven billionaires. If you enjoy very spicy chemistry and a story with a hot alphamale jerk, then you will enjoy this one. It is well written, if predictable, but then all romance is predictable in that we depend upon there being a happy ending. I am voluntarily submitting this honest review after listening to an advanced complementary copy of this audiobook thanks to Valentine PR and Audible Audio.

Enjoyable

L.Steele is a relatively new author to me as was narrator Roxy Isles although I have listened to numerous books narrated by Shane East whom I could listen to all day, every day.
This is Damian “Big D” Savage, a rockstar and nanny Julia’s story and was one that I was drawn into.
The chemistry between them sizzles as they come to terms with the feelings that they bring out in one another. The banter between them at times is witty and the performance by both narrators were entertaining.
There were times that I really did not appreciate how Damian treated Julia and if I had been me, I would have told him where he could put his job and walked out. However it is obvious how much he loves his daughter Riley.
I did like that Julia is not afraid to stand up for herself, she is feisty and sassy. Can Julia help bring Damian back to life? Could she be what he has been looking for without even knowing it?
