Publisher's summary

I never imagined the drama that would ensue once Dwight stepped into my life.

All I wanted to do was to make a name for myself - to claim my little piece of the pie - and buy the neighborhood bar I've been working at for the last few years. Little did I know that I'd be attracting the Wolf Brotherhood into my life.

They want to stake their claim on my bar, but just because they're the most feared werewolf biker pack in Portland doesn't mean that I'll just roll over and let them have what they want - not without a fight.

Well, I went a little too far one night and really ticked them off, and now Dwight has this twisted plan to stage my death to get the Brotherhood off my back. He's my maker and my lover, so I should be able to trust him - and God, there's just something about the fire in his touch that makes my troubles melt away; something about his deep, alluring gaze that pulls me in every time - but Dwight also happens to be a member of the Brotherhood.

Now my sister Sera is getting roped in on the drama, and they'd better not lay a finger on her. Rumor has it, she's teamed up with a rival pack to get to the bottom of my "death".

They'll stop at nothing to take me out, but I'm tired of being their victim; the Wolf Brotherhood has no idea what's about to hit them.

They've messed with the wrong chick this time.

Marked by Werewolves contains all three stories in Meg Ripley's werewolf romance series, Packs of the Pacific Northwest:

Book 1: Claimed by the Wolf Brotherhood Book 2: Werewolf Baby Daddy Book 3: The Wolf Pack's Revenge

It was good

Good story. great narrator. I have was a little confused when it switched books and perspectives so quickly but once you understood where it picked up, it was OK.

Trouble around every corner

Being forced into Werewolf and not knowing what it means was awful. Only the understanding and love of all players made it possible to reach the happy ending.

Box set one story

I got this book via audiobook boom. This was a boxed set but actually just one story. Dwight was a terrible werewolf and meant Aiza harm. The Wolf Brotherhood were a gang of were's only interested in how much they could hurt others. There were two HEAs in this story. Azia and her sister who would not stop looking for Azia and when the story ended it was great. There were some twists that could have gone a different way but in the end they were still good. the narration kept the story flowing.

Meg Pipley has done it again!

What made the experience of listening to Marked by Werewolves the most enjoyable?

I had read the books before, listening to them Veronica Holly gave life to how I pictured the story in my mind.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked how Sera wanted needed to understand what happened to her sister. Her loyalty, and love of family, drew me in.

Which character – as performed by Veronica Holly – was your favorite?

Sera

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did! Curled up in front of the fire put my earplugs on drank my tea and enjoyed.

Any additional comments?

I received this audio book for review consideration.

2.25, but I'll discount the first 'book'

Books reviewed individually:

Claimed by the Wolf Brotherhood
1*
Not a story, barely even a prologue. If I was incline to rate it on its own, as opposed to part of the boxed compilation of books 1-3 I have, it would be very low indeed. It's basically useless on its own.

Werewolf Baby Daddy
2*
Not an abysmal showing, and not outside what you'd expect from a fated mates werewolf novella. But full of shallow, undeveloped characters, insta-love, sex=relationship, no world-building, a shadow villain that you won't even know at all if you haven't read the useless-on-its-own-but-apparently-vital-this-book-so-why-is-it-seperated-out 30 page prequel, Claimed by the Wolf Brotherhood, and a cliffhanger. So, not a real winner but again there is a whole sub-genre of just this sort of pared-down stories that some people seem to like. I was pretty meh about the whole thing and bitter about the 30 page "book 1."

For the record, the audio version was an hour and 54 minutes long. So, the book can't be 880 pages as listed on the Amazon page.

The Wolf Pack's Revenge
2.5, round up to 3*
Better than the first two "books." I put that in quotation marks because "book 1" isn't a book by any definition I can imagine and I'm irritated by this trend authors seem to be developing of publishing teasers without accurately labeling them as such. But none of these stories stand alone, so I can't just pretend it didn't exist. Either way, The Wolf Pack's Revengeis an improvement. The writing is better and it was a more complete story than either of the previous stories. The characters were still shallow, though I have to admit to liking how caring the heroes are (no alpha A-holes). The plot was still thin. But it is still only a novella, so what can I expect. All in all, ok if you like this sort of pared down story. Veronica Holly did a fine job with the narration. I noticed a couple more hiccups than usual, buy not enough to really bother me.

Note: I received an Audible credit for this book, but I chose to listen to it and review it.

Terrible then good

Only get Trilogy, it wouldn’t make sense otherwise. The first book I almost stopped & asked for my credit back it was so dark etc…but I knew I really enjoyed her Dragon series so I continued. The second & third books were really good & played out well but not worth buying individually.

Entertaining Series

This is a 3-short-book compilation that is fast-paced and easy to fall into. This shifter series had an interesting premise, with a bad group of oppressive, outlaw shifters in conflict with good, law enforcement-type shifters and a couple of sisters who got caught up in their mess. I enjoyed it.

Veronica Holly did a great job with the voices, the feel of the story and conveying all the emotions and various voices appropriately and in a way that enhanced the audio experience.

I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

Unfamiliar with this genre

I have to start by saying, I'm not really familiar with this genre. This story was action packed. The characters were interesting. This is likely a good read for those into shifter stories. I was provided this ARC from and am glad for a chance to try a story in this genre.

3.5 to 4 stars

3.5 to 4 stars - Marked by Werewolves by Meg Ripley and narrated by Veronica Holly is a 3 story series of novellas. The story is rushed and there is not a lot of background building or story at first. The story gets better by the third novella, and I wished the author had spent more time developing the characters and the Longtail pack story lines. Stephanie was a very interesting character, and I would have liked to have known more about her. I was taken in by Aiza and Noah and wish more had been developed there. Possibly there will be more stories in this series that will develop these story lines. Ms. Holly did a good job with the narration although I thought that, at times, she spoke very quickly. She did a good job distinguishing the characters' voices and brought excitement to the story. This is a new author and new narrator to me and I would listen to more of their work. I was given a free copy of this story for an honest review.
