Acerca de esta escucha

In the final installment of The End series, economies have collapsed, freedom has been suppressed, and peace is a distant memory.

The world is falling apart. Joshua Jordan’s protégé Ethan March, along with Jimmy Louder and Rivka Reuban, have been left behind in a world that is rapidly coming under the complete influence of the Antichrist.

Technology is growing by leaps and bounds with BID-Tag implants, robotic police units, and drone-bots flying overhead . . . all designed to control and dominate those who resist the Antichrist’s reign of evil. As Biblical prophecy is fulfilled each new day, Ethan and the others in the Remnant struggle to eat, to procure necessary goods, and to avoid the Global Alliance—in short, to survive.

But when the forces of evil attempt to pervert the world’s most powerful information system to their own sinister ends, eliminating everyone who gets in their way, it’s up to Ethan and the Remnant to subvert their dark ambitions.

From New York Times bestselling author Tim LaHaye, creator and co-author of the world-renowned Left Behind books, Mark of Evil is the final thrilling chapter to The End series.

If you could sum up Mark of Evil in three words, what would they be?

prophecy in print

What did you like best about this story?

The realistic story of what will be

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I love to see where the light goes on and an individual accepts Jesus as their savior.

So on the mark

GVery good story. Did not care for the reader though. His voice inflections made me feel like he was throwing his words.

Good End to a Great Series

I enjoyed the story and appreciate the hearing of the end times which seem so eerily close. The gentleman reading the story went over the top in his portrayal of different characters and was overly dramatic to the point of distraction.

Narrator

The fourth book is a good end to the series, but the audio book narrator is so over the top that he is distracting and made finishing the book difficult.

Excellent end to the series, but….

The narrator was a distraction to the story, which was very good. I tolerated by increasing the speed, but I might need to read it in print to finish.

Great story bad narrator

I liked the story. The narrator is good. In the future though, I recommend that you stay with the same narrator for a series.

The narrator grew on me with as I continued to listen.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

It wasn't the book itself that was awful, but the narration. I will most likely purchase the kindle edition and read the book rather than suffer through this narrator.

Would you be willing to try another book from Craig Parshall and Tim LaHaye ? Why or why not?

Oh yes indeed! I enjoy their books! The stories are so exciting and well written, that you get lost in their world and completely forget reality for awhile.

Would you be willing to try another one of Daniel Butler’s performances?

Never ever again. Not even if it was free.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Mark of Evil?

I haven't finished the entire book yet, but so far, so good! I will be reading, rather than listening, to the remainder of this book due to the horrible narration.

Any additional comments?

This was my first ever return, and Audible was wonderful about it. My advise is to read reviews, even if it's a series book with a familiar author. Lesson learned!
The narrator ruins the book! They changed narrators after using the same wonderful narrator for the first three in this series. This narrator is probably a nice guy, but you cannot listen without cringing. It was awful!

My First Audible return!

Typically good mix of biblical truth and story as Parshall and La Haye do so well. That said, the narration was distracting and often hokey. Anything done for the cause of Christ should be first rate, and the narration of this book just wasn't. 😩

Somewhat disappointing because of narration

I persisted and finished listening. The narration was odd and at time annoying. I got used to it toward the end, but i would have preferred the narrator from the earlier books in the series.

The story itself jumped around a lot.

Very different than previous in the series

I could not finish this wonderful book because of the narrator; mumbling and smacking his mouth and mispronouncing and stumbling over words. He read in an unrhythmic, choppy way that totally distracted from the story. It was sooooo bad it became unbearable. Had to return the book. Was there ANY editing of this man’s performance at all? Unbelievable.

Narrator is SUPER TERRIBLE
