Good Series

Good story line and characters. The scriptures are quoted I love that! Believes being persecuted and God’s miraculous interventions are awesome!!!

Sorry to have it come to an end…

Excellently written and narrated.
This series was a peek into how the world might look without the freedom to practice our beliefs. Unfortunately, Christians are under attack in many countries…even in the US we see how a few can infringe on the rights of so many. I pray for God’s intervention and for the strength of Christians everywhere to put on the full armor of God and be bold in our faith.

Great book!

This chapter of the series was fast moving and entertaining. But most of all, it is a reminder that God is sovereign and omnipotent!

Another great story by Jerry Jenkins! I can't wait to read all of his books

Very entertaining

I liked this book. All the characters where well introduced. I felt like I was in the middle of the action.

I could relate to the issues some of the fictional characters dealt with.

I was sad about Bea B. I wanted to see her position used more after the change she made.

I was hoping it ended with the rapture 😬

Great Series

Great series. Listening from the beginning to end. Sucks you in from minute two of the first book in the series. Couldn’t get enough of the series

Would you consider the audio edition of Shadowed to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version, but I would say, "No" because the narration falls far short on the foreign accents. It really detracts from the performance.

Did Steve Sever do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

He did a great job differentiating the characters, but the foreign accents were terrible. They left me confused at times as to who was speaking. Thank goodness those parts are limited, or else I would not listen to the book at all.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

We all really disliked Ranald. I like to think I'm pretty loving and forgiving, but if I were confronted with a man like that, it would take supernatural intervention to keep from trying to kill him! He is a truly unpleasant character, but I enjoy the fact that he provides talking points about loving enemies and being responsible for our reactions to people like that.

Any additional comments?

I love it when audiobooks are suspenseful! My kids and I really enjoyed the series. I especially loved leaving a cliffhanger when we had to exit the car!

Great story! Narration, not so much

I got to the final word of the 2nd book in this series as I was starting a long trip and I did not want to get too far behind, so I grabbed the first version of this book I found. It was not the same narrator I had listened to from the last 2 books. This one is so pedantic and honestly, it feels like a robot is reading it. It was just so jarring to listen to, that the story was completely lost to me. I couldn't take it any more after listening to it the 2 hours long trip, I found the one read by another narrator and I backed up about 5 chapters Just to understand what was going on.

Powerful!!

This series was amazing. I’m just sorry that it had to end. Powerful and encouraging.
