Well written, cozy, unique

I really liked this book. The story is a modern fantasy, found family, light romance. The characters are well written, each fleshed out with unique personalities. My only critique is that the main character gets over shadowed by all the other more interesting characters. Matt is a little bland thus making it hard to focus on him as a main character. The plot is quite good and unique I. it approach. I definitely recommend this to any modern fantasy/ cozy romance readers!

PS reading Mandrake Manor totally felt like watching a cute & cozy version of Being Human + The Gates! 🖤

Great Easy Listening!!!

I loved how each chapter started out with a poem which was written with deep flavor and pose. The characters were humorous and entertaining.The main character Mat finds out he inherited a house which turned out to be a haunted house but there were stipulations he had to comply with in order to take it. Not only does this book have humor but it has all the other components of surprise, suspense, mystery and a few paranormals and witches. Will let you discover the details… Can’t wait to read more. Will make a great series with room for character building and community development. Was very easy listening in another far away fantasy world. Narration was superb. You won’t want to put this down.

This fun and cozy fantasy was the perfect story for me to listen to following a hectic week. Both inventive and familiar, it was like I was stepping into a new home where I knew I belonged.
