Acerca de esta escucha
A candid, humorous, and heartfelt guide to self-care in motherhood from a meditation expert and mother-of-five.
Managing the Motherload is a practical system for sanity from a happy, ultra-productive, and sometimes-tired mother of five. This four-part system will help listeners create a life that they love while allowing all the items on their to-do list to flourish in their own time.
In the audiobook, mediation guide, popular YouTuber, and yoga instructor Rebekah "Bex" Borucki features her favorite healing and stress-reducing modalities, including her signature four-minute meditations.
Deeply personal, heartfelt stories of her struggles and tender moments raising five children will be highlighted throughout the audiobook. As a birth doula and meditation and yoga guide, Bex offers a wealth of personal and professional experience in managing the demands of motherhood and the need for self-care and stress management.
"I want every woman who reads this book to come away with a feeling of confidence in finding her own way as a mother and a human being. Upon finishing the pages, the reader will have the know-how to create a path to happiness, freedom, and success that can be achieved not in spite of her tremendous responsibility as a mother but in total alignment with it." (Rebekah Borucki)

Historia
Over the past several years, Dr. Becky Kennedy—known to her followers as “Dr. Becky”—has been sparking a parenting revolution. Millions of parents, tired of following advice that either doesn’t work or simply doesn’t feel good, have embraced Dr. Becky’s empowering and effective approach, a model that prioritizes connecting with our kids over correcting them. Parents have long been sold a model of childrearing that simply doesn’t work. From reward charts to time outs, many popular parenting approaches are based on shaping behavior, not raising humans.

Shetty grew up in a family where you could become one of three things—a doctor, a lawyer, or a failure. His family was convinced he had chosen option three: Instead of attending his college graduation ceremony, he headed to India to become a monk, to meditate every day for four to eight hours, and devote his life to helping others. After three years, one of his teachers told him that he would have more impact on the world if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and wisdom with others.

Here’s what I’ve realized: Our relationship to success is inside-out. When we make our New Year’s resolutions, bucket lists, big plans, or weekly to-dos, we’re hoping that when we "arrive" we’ll be fulfilled. Our hearts will swell as we cross the finish line, and then we can finally relax and savor our happiness. Except more often than not, that doesn’t happen....

Started off OK but...
It started off good and I was hopeful for it but they she got into the whole "eat this, don't eat that" gypsy thing and I immediately lost interest. I expect healthy body, healthy mindset, healthy food, but she just went off the deep end - no gluten, dairy, meat, fish, butter, sugar, caffeine, etc. Only fruits, veggies and beans basically. I'm already a healthy eater. I wasn't looking for a diet..... ummm it had some nice quotes and I agree with some things but this is definitely NOT was I was looking for in this book. Thanks but, this one isn't for me.
