Publisher's summary

GIA

I may be a mafia princess, but I have bigger plans than to stay in this sheltered world.

I’m in Milan to pursue my dreams as a fashion designer. Having an affair is the last thing on my mind, except he’s handsome and charming and Italian. In other words, he’s irresistible.

What’s the harm in having a little fun?

ENZO

Years of work, my family, and almost my life—all stolen from me. For four years I rebuilt my empire, plotting in secret, planning to make him suffer as I suffered.

When the perfect weapon drops into my lap, who am I to say no?

Except Gia doesn’t seem to mind my darkness. She likes it, even welcomes it.

I can’t let her distract me, no matter how much I want her. No matter the fire that burns hot between us. I’ll have her—and then I’ll break her.

If she expects mercy, she’ll be disappointed. I’m no hero. I’m a ruthless king, born to be the villain.

Mafia Madman is written by a USA Today best-selling author. It can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, but it's probably better if you listen to Mafia Mistress and Mafia Darling first!

If you like feisty heroines, heroes who are a little bit cruel and a lot filthy, and plenty of heat, then welcome to Mila's twisted world. Don't say you weren't warned!

Loved It!

I really loved this story, not once did I think to myself this is so stupid lol I loved the main female character she was tough and brave when she needed to be .. I did feel that the main male character was a little obsessed at times but I loved their chemistry together. Over all it was what I consider a perfect romance novel I enjoyed it very much! The both narrators did an awesome job.

Dolcezza reading

I was excited to read this book after reading the Mafia Mistress duet, which precedes the love story of Enzo and Gianna, focusing on her older sister Frankie and Fausto’s love story. I was impressed with their love story, but after reading Mafia Madman, I felt this book fell short.

The performances by the narrators were decent but I found the male narrator to sound like Cohnt Dracula or Adam Sandler in the Hotel Transylvania movies. It was a little cringey during sex scenes. Also, the female narrator’s narration was slightly awkward, pronouncing Milan - Mil Anne and also adding the vampire voice when reading Enzo’s dialogue.

While both protagonists have strong personalities that can be appreciated individually, I was not convinced that they were right for each other. It was hard to get passed some of the psychotic and outright abusive things Enzo did to Gia all because she was associated to his enemy, Fausto. It was hypocritical and inhuman.
It was interesting to see Enzo’s struggles and break the typical negative stereotypes of mafia dons by opening up about his mental health after being traumatized years before. But I feel that he did not genuinely love Gia, even after admitting his deceits and professing his love for her. He also changes his entire personality to have her in the end by aggreeing to not control her life, which was not believable seeing as he would go days (watching her) without letting her eat.

Overall, the plot was interesting, characters had interesting backstories, and I appreciated Frankie and Fausto’s re-appearances and updates.
