Buy some vowels!
Great story based in California but the narrator has strong New England dialect tendencies. He uses a soft "a" sound for most "o" sounds. He uses it also for various vowel combinations: He says 'sad' for 'said', 'had' for 'head', 'bad' for 'bed'. He also says things like: 'drow' for drawer.
